Homemade corn and flour tortillas love this place , the only bad thing is the Service needs to be improved after serving the server never came again only to bring our check, The second time I went the server was on the phone instead of asking if we needed anything else I have to raise my voice to called her to bring the check): (

Located a few blocks from the Bishop Arts district, we were recommended this place by a member of our group. It took the staff 45 minutes to service our table, we were 8 people. Only 3 of us were pleased with our choices, the others thought the food was mediocre. The Barbaboa was the best plate on the table with rich flavor and size. The restaurant automatically charges a 20% service which clearly they didn’t deserve.
We will not come back.

Update:

We passed by again and probably had one of the best meals ever. Waiters are the nicest as always. The agua preparada was perfectly made and super refreshing. Tried the Jamaica margarita and was amazed by the presentation ! It was so pretty. And whatever tequila they used was very smooth. Tried the mole enchiladas and you can tell someone is taking the time to make the sauce. Chicken was juicy and not dry like some other places. My bf ordered the queso fundido and said even the peppers were cooked great. I’m obsessed. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had recently.

Great service! Great flavor ! everything We’ve ordered had been great. Table salsa is spicy but yummy. Not pictured if the bandito plate and bistek ranchero but we’re delicious as well. Huevos rancheros were yummy and queso enchiladas was amazing. The chicken is delicious and the queso fresco is Great on top. Jamaica and horchata both taste very fresh as well. Very clean and well put together. Giving Gonzalez a run for their money.

The food was delicious. We came here after being told at another restaurant on Jefferson that the wait was 1 and a half. I don’t regret it. I ordered the barbacoa a la Mexicana and we ordered a queso fundido. Tortillas were handmade also. My fiancé ordered the tacos. We liked it so much that I ordered on UberEats again today and this time I got the barbacoa a la ranchera it was better then the a la Mexicana. I ordered the Chile relleno and it was not that great. Seemed dry and hard. I feel like it could be better with a simmered sauce on it. Over all tho the service is great our water was amazing so kind.

Came in to get some lunch real quick. Ordered the Taco Plate to go. Waited about 25 minutes for this. Pretty disappointing, barely any beans and rice. and it was a bit cold. A real letdown for $17.

This was our first time here. The food was all very good. Service was slow but that’s because they were short on staff. We ordered a Paloma alcoholic beverage and it was perfectly made. We order for appetizer the Queso Flameado so delicious. My husband ordered Chilaquiles with the green salsa. They hand make their tortillas so that was a plus. Wait staff was very nice and helpful. Overall we had a great experience.
