We went here for breakfast and I have to say I really liked the place. You choose your table, order at the counter, and they give you an order number. The food was excellent—really, really good. The coffee, however, wasn’t great, and the service could have been better. I had to ask the waitress twice for sugar because they bring you the coffee but don’t explain the process or bring it to the table. That said, the food is definitely delicious, and the pastries are amazing.

Came here 2 days in a row for breakfast, they’ve got great options to choose from, all super tasty! Their cakes and pastries look amazing as well, but unfortunately I didn’t try those. Highly recommended, friendly staff too.

Great place to get lunch! Never tried this place until recently, I decided to give it try and they have so many different options—sandwiches, salads, soups, Shakshuka, bowls, pastries, etc. The place is spacious inside with tons of seating—at weekday lunch it can get busy so you may need to wait a few minutes for a table. You order your food first, then find seating.

Been here already three times in the past month and will definitely be back!

I love this location! It is the best. I have always felt welcome and taken very good care of. My grandpa worked at the Pentagon, Grandma was the granddaughter of a Chief of Staff for embassies in China and diplomat for the predecessor to international crime and drug conventions, the International Opium Commission. I have felt part of family and friend, community, I barely got to have while a guest in D.C. Thank you!

Orders are placed at the counter. After ordering, a number is given to the customer to place on the table they choose. The food is then brought out by the staff when it is ready.

I ordered the Potato, Mushroom, and Bacon Shakshuka. This dish was really delicious! The flavors were rich, comforting, and well-balanced.

However, the bread was the imperfect part of the experience. It was both soft and hard at the same time. I believe it was toasted, so it had a crispy surface, but the inside remained soft.

Unfortunately, the crispy edges kept scratching the inside of my mouth. After finishing the dish, it felt like the roof of my mouth was full of tiny cuts. I could still feel the pain during my next meal. My friend felt the same way about the bread.

Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were good. The only bummer was the bread.

I had such a wonderful experience at Tatte Bakery & Café! The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Their desserts are absolutely amazing—especially the lemon tart and tiramisu, which were both perfection. The coffee drinks were also outstanding; we tried the pistachio latte, honey halva latte, and the white peach mint tea, and each one was delicious and unique. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing afternoon sitting outside, with great food, great drinks, and genuinely kind staff. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Always ask Demarcus for suggestions he gives the best!

Totally stumbled across this place walking back to my car

Big open space, retro early 20th century decor, April at the register was fabulous

Pastries were great, the cold brew was fantastic (and I’m pretty picky about my cold brew)

I’d highly recommend over any of the bigger chain concepts like Starsux or Peet’s which are both close by

My friend recommended I try this store, and the food is fantastic and tasty. I ordered a cinnamon roll, croissant, and ciabatta. Even though you have to spend about 15 to 20 minutes in line, once you get the bread, you will understand that the time you spend waiting is definitely worth it.

Great breakfast experience here! Shashouka was delish and the staff was welcoming. The ambiance is fun – it can get busy, and loud, but it’s bustling and it has a good energy! Great spot to have a meeting, enjoy a solo meal, and/or get some work done with reliable WiFi and good food!

Amazing Bakery Experience!

I had the best experience at Tatte Bakery! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Their service was top-notch—everyone was so welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! Every pastry was fresh, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of care into their baking.

If you’re looking for a bakery that delivers both amazing service and mouthwatering treats, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend!
