this place was AMAZING!!! surpassed all my expectations for mediterranean food, and Rena was so delightful and so helpful despite us showing up 10 minutes before closing. I asked what she recommended and she was quick to offer the tahini sauce which was absolutely phenomenal!!! highly recommend regardless of whether you like mediterranean food or not, it’ll truly change your life 🙂

Good mediterranean spot. I had the chicken bowl with basmati rice, hummus, tabbouleh, olives, pickles, pita chips, garlic and tahini sauces, and roasted almonds. The mix of flavors was great, the garlic and tahini added a lot and i thought I didn’t like tahini… the almonds really gave it a nice crunch. The pita chips weren’t very memorable, and the chicken didn’t stand out on its own, had no flavor, but everything together worked really well.
Also tried the steak shawarma, which was just as good and had a great texture thanks to the fries. The location is fun too, next to a dog park with picnic tables, a bar, TVs, and even a sand volleyball court. Nice place to hang out and eat.

We ordered felafels, the beef shawarma wrap, and the chicken bowl. Both the wrap and bowl were packed with goodness and hefty serving sizes.

Hands down the best Mediterranean in San Antonio! Worth the drive. Get it while you can they sell out quick talking from experience. Pita chips and hummus was extremely good and that’s coming from someone who is picky. The gyro wrap was savory. The chicken over rice bowl was spot on rice was cooked perfectly, the chicken was packed with flavor and the garlic sauce packed a punch in the best way! The Pita Chick is definitely being added to our list of go to places.

So….have been trying out various shawarma places (anywhere I go) in quest of finding the best chicken shawarma in town….
Pita Chick fits the bill for best in town: Authentic pita for the wrap, consistent taste with shawarma spices, good balance of sauce, tomatoes and pickles and best of all, fries inside the chicken shawarma!
Tastes always the same no matter when we go….they get the order done pretty quick (and we’ve ordered up to 10

Ambience is good with the woof park…
Make sure u have a driver with u, sometimes hard to find parking (due to the woof park being popular)…
Rest of the fam does the steak shawarma and they love those too….

I stopped by The Pita Chick food truck parked at Texas Dog Co in San Antonio and tried their chicken pita bowl. It was absolutely incredible. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender. The hummus was smooth and flavorful, the pickles and tabbouleh added a fresh contrast, and the crispy pita chips gave the perfect crunch.
Every bite was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. You can tell they put real care into the ingredients and presentation. This is easily one of the best Mediterranean bowls I’ve had in San Antonio, and I can’t wait to go back.

10/10!!! Some of the best meditarían food I’ve ever had…. And I’ve had my fair share lol. The owner also had such a good energy and it shows in the food!! I devoured my chicken bowl and forgot about my falafels. It was so flavorful and perfectly put together, just look at it!

Was looking to try a new place and came across The Pita Chick on Tiktok. She was making a pita wrap and some Mediterranean sounded perfect. I got the Steak Shawarma Loaded Fries. They were delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection with the perfect tenderness. Flavors coming in all over with onions, tahini, parsley, hummus, garlic sauce and a tiny crunch from a bit of roasted onions. Fries were crispy and very well salted, which I love. The price is average of what you expect from food trucks, and in this case well worth every penny. Service was great and informative about The Dog Co Icehouse. It’s located right outside the Icehouse. Definitely recommend checking The Pita Chick out.
