Finally got around to trying this cozy lil chicken joint this past March and was a pleasant first experience.
From the first steps walking into this venue, I really like what they’ve done with the interior. Quite creative and the owner(s) put a lil money into it.
My thoughts on the food overall is that it’s “good”. Took a while for the food to come out after ordering being the lady at the front counter mentioned the chicken & onion rings are freshly breaded.
Wish they had refillable fountain drinks otherwise prices may seem a bit high but then again look what’s happened the last 5 1/2 years or so. Service is very friendly in a clean & cozy local-owned venue.
We live pretty far north in northeastern Lake Co so time will tell when we return. At the time we were just coming out of Old Orchard Mall and we usually trek out and look for good eats in Skokie and nearby communities. I certainly hope for several years of booming business to come for the owner(s).

This place was SO good. We got Fry N Chicken to go and it was still hot and crispy when we got home. The chicken was super crunchy but juicy inside and actually seasoned really well, not bland at all. You can tell it’s fresh.
The fries were also really good crispy, not greasy, and nicely seasoned. Portions were solid and it definitely felt worth it.
Honestly, it reminded me of Raising Cane’s in Dubai. Not a lot of fried chicken spots around here are actually yummy, but this one really is. We were impressed and will for sure be coming back.

The store is bright and clean walking in, my hopes are high for a good meal. I look at the menu and realize it’s nearly $17 for a chicken sandwich meal. Ouch. There are only variations of chicken on the menu: sandwiches, tenders, wings, and fried chicken. And the fries, of course. Chicken and fries.
I ordered the smoky chicken sandwich. I get rung up, my wallet much lighter. The tip portion on the machine passes by before I have a chance to add anything. Wait, did the cashier just wiggle the tip jar at me? Yes, yes she did. RUDE!

The fries were average frozen crinkles. The sauce on the sandwich was okay, as was the brioche bun. There was more breading than chicken, though. Disappointing, especially for the price.
Three and a half stars for the food, minus one and a half for the price, and demanding a tip for ringing up my order.

So I went to this place today as I was craving a lot for a zinger burger tried their Trio Box and wow… it did not disappoint! Three juicy chicken sandwiches with soft, fresh buns that held everything perfectly, crispy golden wavy fries (my new obsession ), and the sauces the garlic mayo + chili mayo combo was absolutely amazing , tangy sweet and spicy at the same

We are a little far from this restaurant, but definitely worth the drive. The rizo bowl is my go-to. The rice is perfectly seasoned with crispy chicken and sauce drizzled on top. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but this is the standard rate for hand-slaughtered zabiha halal meat which is totally worth it! They have lunch specials too Service is very friendly and welcoming.

The service was quick and the man who served us was extremely helpful. He was patient, allowing us time to pick our order and discuss it with each other. We ended up getting a loaded fries box, a smoked sandwich, and a rizo bowl. All 3 were flavorful, served hot and fresh, and not a single one disappointed. Would definitely come here again and bring my friends

Up here in the north or even if you are down in the south, definitely this fried chicken is the best so far in Chicago.
First the chicken quality is on top, breading is crunchy and golden with the perfect seasoning not oily or juicy with oil, just well done with the right texture.
Secondly, the prices compared to other similar restaurants in the south, are more valued and it matches the fine quality. Finally the service, the hospitality and songs vibes are amazing. wish them all the best.
My only one comment. They need to work on the marketing little bit to bring this place from being
a hidden gem to a known and famous place as it deserves.

The food was super delicious! It’s like nothing I have eaten anywhere else! I had the chicken Zinga- it is very crunchy and the chicken is still so juicy! & the breaded mushrooms are also very crispy! This was my second time at Fry, & man I regret not leaving a great review the first time! The owner is super nice, too! He cleaned our table, delivered the food to us, gave us some amazing sauces to try, and even gave us boxes and bags for our food at the end (due to the incredibly generous portions, they were much needed). All I am upset about is how fast he skips the tip screen when paying! He really deserved one!
