I recommend driving a bit further to Cabarita for Thai, my daughter and boyfriend bought home leftovers last night from their dine-in meal and it was delicious!
The staff are all delightful, smiling and efficient.
We ordered the Pad Si Ewe with prawns and the Chefs Special Hang Lay Pork.
Both meals were amazing. I don’t like seafood, but I loved the noodles from the Pad Si and there were at least 8 good sized prawns. My pork dish was so tasty and tender and the meat fell apart. It was a very generous helping as well.
Highly recommend a visit here and it deserves more than a 4.2 when comparing it with other restaurants.
We sat outside and it was lovely and fresh and open. Would definitely visit again.
We had the spring rolls, Thai fried rice and the chicken with cashew nuts.
Food was great and good serving size. Plenty of customers coming and going and lots of takeaway as well. Very surprised with how busy the restaurant was for a Wednesday evening.
There was plenty of parking available on the street.
Its a one time try for me with green coconut rice and chicken not cooked properly/ overcooked and rubbery, the satay sauce was creamy colour which i have not yet seen in Australia and i eat out weekly, no peanuts, smooth like paste didn’t look nice. Very disappointed and dissatisfied
I am a very fair person and don’t wish anyone else to experience what I have this evening.
To add insult to injury.we asked for them to taste their meal they had provided as I couldn’t eat it .
They didnt want to eat it and what i had spooned from it was in a plate, so no reason not to check it.
Can’t eat overcooked dry rubbery chicken….and the satay chicken sticks that were firm not soft and defineately undercooked.
This Thai restaurant (and only Thai restaurant down street from pottsville south Caravan park in town. For the time I have spent myself with friends in potsville and company found the Black Drop cafe very tasty, fresh and Definitely go to Okky and Pipit restaurants great service and take great care to impress their customers.
It was a very important meal celebration… was sat got given menu,
Reality is
Just check your meat straight when bought out especially the chicken(speaking from a woeful experience) straight away try and if not to your satisfaction let the chef know….and if not happy don’t wait till you pay the bill to say something….wrong!!! Go straight up to the counter and bring it to your attention… That’s what I did tried to be discreet and graceful about it… because no one asks you how was the meal I guess in case it’s negative..even when I paid the young lass was very smug never asked how was your meal ? In most professional restaurants they ask you 10mins after you start eating and when your about to pay for meal they ask again.
Genuine interest for repeat business. The young lady in the Thai shirt from cabarita doesn’t do the company justice with her short sharp uncommunicative mono tone. I had to ask her if she was going to ask me how my meal was …she sarcastically asked me and when I told her. She put the card through didn’t get the manager I asked for and walked off to collect my plate…no manners and RUDE.
Eventually the Thai man came and wanted to know why I asked he didn’t even want to try the untouched food personally I think that says it all.
The young lass couldn’t get it off the table quick enough
$81 is ridiculous for inedible food. They could of taken the two horrible chicken dishes off the price in good faith to keep moral and to acknowledge by trying their own cooking that they were in the wrong instead of money grabbing the$.
Inside and out seating.
Loved our chilli jam pad thai and garlic and pepper chicken stir-fry.
