I hardly leave reviews, unless I’ve had extremely good service, or very bad service. Today, I had very bad service/experience at the DQ in Pembroke this afternoon. I ordered a Chicken strip basket tossed in theirnew garlic parm. sauce, with a medium Dr.Pepper (mind you, I’ve been at work all day, and this was the very 1st thing I ate/had all day). I should have known better when I saw the cashier was the only one wearing a mask in the restaurant, I could only hope it was for her own health safety and she wasn’t sick at work. Anyways, fifteen minutes in of eating my food, I started getting indigestion, and just feeling little nauseous. About hour and half after getting home, I started getting horrible stomach cramps, feeling like I was going to throw up and a extremely upset stomach. I’ve been in the bathroom since getting home. I called the establishment, spoke with a woman on the phone, explained my situation/bad food experience. She was not considerate at all (hopefully she never experiences food poisoning), she said ma’am I can assure you that you didn’t get sick off of our food! She then said she was passing the phone to, I assumed the manager. While passing the phone, I could hear her discussing my issue with the other lady, stating to her manager that this lady says she came through there few minutes ago and is now stating she has food poisoning, and there’s no way she got food poisoning that quick. Glad you were in tune with my body, and the way I was feeling ma’am :/. Anyways, the manager got on the phone, I told her I had came through the drive thru about two hours ago (I have a hour and thirty minute drive home), and that I was currently in the bathroom sick, with possibly food poisoning. She was not helpful, also very inconsiderate and stated that there’s no way I got sick, that it must be something I ate earlier that day. I assured her, that that was THE only thing I ate all day, because I had been at work and hadn’t taken a lunch. Besides drinking water throughout the day. She proceeded to state that there’s just no way whatsoever, that the chicken/food just came off the truck that day, and that she ate the same exact thing I ate earlier in the day and she wasn’t sick. (Umm, okay ) She then said, what exactly are you wanting, store credit??!!, I said no ma’am, because that’s last time I’m eating at this DQ establishment, I said I just wanted y’all to maybe take a look at the chicken (smell of it), or the garlic parm sauce y’all were over coating the chicken strips in, which was dripping out the box it came in. So hopefully another poor customer didn’t get sick as well. She said very prudent, yes Ma’am, anything else, I said no, she then proceeded to ask me for my number, and full name, like it mattered because I wasn’t going to eat there anymore anyways. So overall, if you eat at the establishment, be cautious of what you are eating, or you to may end of sick as well. That is all! Hopefully they learn to be a little more courteous to others feelings and understanding and not come off so defensive. Wasn’t like I was the health inspector. Sucks I paid $12.00 to get food poisoning though.

It’s dairy Queen in a small town. Service is okay. Normally a little slow. The food they put out and quality of their ice cream is good. However, the restaurant itself’s atmosphere is bad. The restrooms are either out of order or disgustingly falling apart. Every time I go. The display board up top is missing the blizzard sign most of the time so you have to look up their menu online if you don’t know what kind of blizzard you want when you get there. It’s also a smaller dairy Queen.

Glad to have the new Dairy Queen open back up, and I will venture to say that Pembroke area residents are probably glad as well. For a Sunday evening, the restaurant was quite busy with the drive through backing up all the way to the street. The food was up to Dairy Queen standard, but due to the new staff and the busy mealtime, some staff seemed a little overwhelmed and the counter service was slow and sporadic. For example, when I was filling up my drinks, an associate place my sundaes and meals on the counter and walked off without offering a cup holder (employees ignored me when I went back to the order counter)so I barely made it out the door and to my car with drinks, sundaes, and sacks. Hopefully they will get up to speed given time.

Speedy service, hot crispy fries, and smiling faces. My one stop shop for burgers and ice cream. FOH staff were friendly and cheerful. The GM Sara was cheerful and welcoming too.

Seemed to be freshly prepared and bun as well. To me that makes a difference in a fast food restaurant

Crappy, service. Crappy place to eat. Takes forever for ice cream. Ice creams always come out leaking and melted, especially on the shakes and blizzards. Took 10 minutes to get my food when it was slap empty. Onion rings are hard to eat and feel like plastic. Overall the worst Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to.
Statesboro DQ is where its at!

Brand new building! Staff is courteous and gets food orders out quickly and accurately. Although there was a hiccup in the online ordering app where my order failed to transmit to the business. Food is fresh and made to order. They only have one very old and sticky high chair for babies!
