Great wings, fast and friendly service, and a nice area outside to enjoy your food. Great spot for a quick lunch.

WesWings is a fast food style restaurant at Wesleyan University. The food consists of several fried options and sandwiches. While the food is not the most healthy, it’s a nice place to stop in for a lunch convenient to campus. The menu features several options. This is probably not the place for vegans or veg. The line was short and the food was ready in about 5 minutes even at noontime. There were some people there, and the seating both indoors and out was ample. Many of the staff are students at Wesleyan. Not having a meal plan as I am not a student, I was able to pay with a credit card with no problem. I had a turkey club sandwich and a bottled soda. At about $15 per person, I found the price to be higher than competition such as Subway sandwiches. The food was a bit greasy, but not terribly so. My party opted for outdoor dining, which was pleasant on a sunny late April afternoon.

Overall it’s a nice dining option providing an alternative to cafeteria food. I am unlikely to eat here daily because the fried food is probably not that healthy and it’s a bit expensive, but once in a while I can see it’s a nice treat and a pleasant way to share a casual lunch with colleagues. It’s conveniently located on campus, an advantage over going to Main Street. This would be a good occasional alternative to dining in the cafeteria for students, and a good place for lunch for socializing with visitors and guests when you prefer to be on campus.

Food are fresh and perfectly cooked, and the sauce was flavorful and not too heavy. I also tried the tiramisu for dessert and it was heavenly.

The service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive and accommodating. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The owner even came to our table to make sure everything was to our liking.

I had one of the best lunches. Today was Weswings famous “smashburger day”. Wow, it was delicious, with a side of fries and curly fries. I even ended up taking a slice of carrot cake home!! I can’t wait to go back before they close for the school year!!!

The food wasn’t good. The chicken wings are very chewy and the number of points spent as a student wasn’t worth it. The booth seats are cool when with friends but the food is mid at best. Wesleyan students go to Summerfields instead. The flies ate the food more than me!

Fresh, hot, delicious food that, as a Wesleyan student, is a welcome contrast to the standard everyday Usdan food. The crispy mozzarella sticks went perfectly with the marinara sauce. The Wings of Death lived up to their name as spicy and scrumptious. Highly recommend. Will be back again.

Ordered wings and boneless wings . Hot and mild . Order was mixed up. I brought it to their attention
They just didn’t care . That aside . The boneless were over cooked and the sauces were out of a plastic jug and lacked imagination. But the cashier had a nice hinee so there’s that

WesWings is a Wesleyan University legend. Lots of people call it Swings. The main clientele is Wesleyan students and it operates on the university schedule. For this reason, you will find it crowded with students during most of its operating hours. They accept meal plan points as well as Middletown cash, which you will understand if you are a student. If you are not a student, you’ll be able to use cash. The food here is ok, it’s slightly better than the fare at the dining halls. However, if you want quality wings or burgers, and you have cash, you’d be better off taking the extra 15 minute walk to main st, specifically Mondos for wings. However, if you are a student with points to spare or a lack of time, this will be the best option for you.

The specials at WesWings make up for the disappointing burgers and wings. I had the salmon and mashed potatoes the other day, and it actually slapped. It cost a bit over $15, though, and that’s before I added a drink and dessert. So altogether, you could expect to spend $30+ feeding two people.

The employees at this place, however, are some of the best people you will meet on this campus.
