My only complaint is that the food lacked flavor. I needed to add salt to the beans and rice. The fajita was hard to chew. My wife had the fish and she said it was too greasy for her taste. The queso flameado was good along with the corn tortillas. This was our first visit and we will come back to give it another try.

When your plate comes hot for a breakfast taco it’s a clear sign the food is not fresh! Ordered a bacon,bean potato and cheese taco. The bacon pieces were so old and hard. First and last time here. Yuck!

We’re from Houston and stopped here for breakfast. Highly recommend it! Very authentic Mexican breakfast and huge homemade flour tortillas! Service was great too! Little hole in the wall, and by far the best! Family of 4 well portioned plates for $34! Cant beat that!

Absolutely not! I am just guessing that is the ONLY restaurant in town.. I am from Houston and stopped here to eat during a visit to San Benito. My honest opinion is that I think these people do not know what they are doing. The chicharron is the one you get from a bag, I ordered a taco de chicharron with egg and its like they just poured chicharron from the bag onto the tortilla. I also ordered egg with machacado, it was not machacado it was barbacoa or some other meat but definately not machacado. The salsas had no flavor and the rice on the plate we ordered was hard and tasted days old. Will not be coming back to this place.

Nice and cozy place. Kids breakfast tacos and spouse’s carne guisada was good but definitely not for fajita. I ordered the Fajita quesadilla…cheesey but fajita had a bland taste (lacked seasoning). Beans were not refried (or lacked butter) and the mexican rice lacked flavor and color.

If your looking for real Tex-Mex food you can definitely find it here. Cazuelas is known for its delicious Caldo de Rez among other favorites like carne guisada, Beef Chalupas, Mole, and much more dishes and last but not least homemade flour tortillas and homemade corn tortillas delicious.

Warm welcoming down home cooking. The food was DELICIOUS! The service was excellent and the atmosphere felt like I was sitting in my grandma’s dining room. Everything we ordered was hot and so delicious! And everything is SUPER affordable, I thought they undercharged us.
