Beef & broccoli smelled good and looked good but was flavorless. Chicken and rice soup was without any taste and had huge clumps of mashed rice. Scallion pancakes were greasy, still felt undercooked in the inside and was burned on the outside. Spend $40 elsewhere, bought via door dash

Ordered Hunan Chicken and Orange Chicken and the chicken in both was undercooked and had a stringy texture and some parts were almost gelatinous. Called the restaurant and manager told me to bring it back but when I got there I was advised since it was placed through DoorDash that I’d have to contact them for a refund. I should’ve been told that before wasting a trip to return the food. Also the fried rice that the entrees come with was very odd, dark brown in color with no veggies like traditional fried rice.

Ordered take out from the counter. Ordered amazing Chicken stir fry. Far from amazing. Chunks of chicken were tough. The sauce was so sweet it made me sick. And the very few vegetables were limp and tasteless. Pork Egg rolls were greasy and the filling was mush. We used to be Chan fans for years. After the new owner take over we had a bad experience. Was in the plaza New Years Eve and thought give it another chance. Never, never again.

It’s wasn’t bad. The hibachi platter for two was pretty good. The general Taos was just ok. But the shrimp roll was good and had large shrimp. I was glad they had French fries cause we had our grandson who won’t eat Chinese. Complementary tea was really yummy! Average prices for what’s on the menu.

I dnt know how they have good reviews. My food was horrible. I mean horrible. First off I order Shrimp Egg Fo Young. Never ever have I had anything worse. They put no veggies are anything in it. It was a thin and I mean very thin egg. Like they just used one egg. They cooked itWith sprouts and shrimp only. So I had a million sprouts in it. The gravy sauce is usually the dark brown sauce. They gave me the light brown gravy sauce. It have no flavor. For the first time ever. I had to season my food. I ordered general T Chicken. Something about the chicken was off. Didn’t taste like chicken. My shrimp fried rice wasn’t great. The shrimp taste over cooked. I spent 50.00 on horrible food. I felt like I just got rice. I would not recommend at all. Save your money

We decided to try this place for my son’s birthday lunch we ordered general tso’s lunch special the chicken was humungous the sauce was very thin and tasteless, sesame chicken was humungous as well,Mongolian beef I thought was cooked perfectly till I ate it it was chewy,I ordered a large veggie lomein for 12.50 I got a small lunch container of lomein and rice the chicken on a stick was not cooked thoroughly the beef teriyaki was chewy the bite my son took to try it he chewed for 20 minutes the only thing that was good was the chicken egg rolls that came with our lunch specials spent 71$ and was definitely not worth the money the portions size was so small we got like 4 pieces of chicken in our lunch specials ugh so disappointed we decided to try this for my baby’s birthday

Chinese-American. If that’s what you are looking for then this is it. sweet general tso chicken vibes. Nothing wrong with that but if you want more authentic chinese food I recommend somewhere else for more spicy and less sweet food

I went out to buy groceries and Chan’s Tea House was in the Westview Plaza. I just moved to PA and had not found a Chinese restaurant yet. I found one now! I had a combination plate for $14.95. The wonton soup was excellent. My server told me it is their most popular soup.

The avocado cheese wontons are super good. I dont think I have seen them like that before. The egg drop soup is also a little different, it was mushroom.
I came in for lunch so the place was pretty quiet but still have about 5 tables. Wonderful service, my waitress was super sweet.

Definitely disappointing. The food was not BAD, but the overall experience seriously lacked. First of all, the music needs to change here, I don’t know what’s up with restaurants thinking that anyone wants to hear EMINEM while they’re trying to enjoy a meal. Just why can’t the ambience of a CHINESE restaurant reflect some sort of authenticity? Is it that hard or off putting to hear something a little more appropriate to eat? But this seems like a Pittsburgh restaurant problem I guess.

Cons: Awful ambience, No chopsticks, no spicy chili oil. Overall an extremely whitewashed “Chinese”.

Pros: Hot tea offered, a good selection of milk teas (Though I didn’t try them this time), Server was friendly and attentive.
