I ordered carry out online for lunch for myself and coworkers. The wings were inedible, burnt to a crisp, and dry. The one drum that was not burnt solid had no flavor. I threw it all away. Waste of $16. I didn’t receive the bbq sauce or celery that was supposed to come with it. They called before I picked up the order and said they no longer sell pork belly and I shouldn’t have been able to order it, although it was listed on the online menu. I’m still waiting for the refund for the pork belly. The pretzel was good, although I didn’t receive the mustard that was supposed to come with it. The pulled pork sandwich my coworker ordered was dry with no sauce and the tallow burger my other coworker ordered was made incorrectly. This restaurant has really gone downhill since they opened at Carrillon. Would not recommend.

I previously left a five-star review for this restaurant because we had 2 two wonderful in restaurant experiences, but the last two takeout experiences have been average at best. A few weeks ago my order was messed up and I emailed to let them know. They said they were going to refund a portion of my money and then offered me a percentage discount on my next meal which I never received. I didn’t even want a discount but rather just to let them know that I was charged for something that I did not receive. I just now waited nearly an hour for a takeout order of two hamburgers. The order is placed online at 649 and I left the restaurant at 740 with the hamburgers. I had read multiple reviews about how bad the service was here, but we had never had that experience until these last two takeout orders. It must be Hit or Miss on the quality, speed and accuracy of the service. Yes, there was a large party there this evening, but if it’s going to take an hour for hamburger to be prepared please tell me that and I will go somewhere else. I would rather honesty up front than waiting for 45 minutes to pick up an order. Food is usually really good but service needs help.

The vibe was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a laid-back meal. I ordered the rib tips, and they were so tender with just the right amount of barbecue sauce. The coleslaw and cornbread were excellent sides, too. Our server Tim and the others were so friendly, which made the evening even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend!

We sat and patiently waited 20 mins to place drink order. I had to ask the bartender myself. We immediately placed our order with her. We should have left after we were told there was no ribs or pork but we ordered anyway- basically we only had hamburgers or a chicken sandwich to choose from. They brought out the wings and one Mac n cheese 20 mins later-but nothing else. We waited and watched every table that arrived after us get their orders- even saw one tray with ribs for the table even though we were told it wasn’t an option. After being here for over an hour we decided to cash out the food we did get but the bartender said we didn’t need to pay for all the trouble from our evening. We drive 45 mins to have an evening out with our daughters and ended up having to get fast food. Don’t waste a single moment or dollar here. The bartender was sweet and did what she could but our actual waiter never showed up. It’s such a shame because the space is super cool-

Mac and cheese was flavorful and creamy, collard greens were tangy with a vinegar bite, and the bbq sauces were really good. The mustard bbq sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. The pork belly burnt ends and chicken thighs were my favorite!

I was really disappointed with my experience at Dayton BBQ Company. We came in excited for a good BBQ dinner, but things quickly went downhill. First, they didn’t even have enough brisket available to fulfill my dinner order, which was frustrating for a BBQ restaurant during dinner service.
On top of that, they were also out of ribs, so my friend ordered red tips instead. Unfortunately, they looked like they were 3–4 days old and were very hard. When we asked about it, we were told “they’re smoked, that’s why they look like that,” but honestly, I know the difference — this did not seem fresh or properly prepared.
Between multiple items being unavailable and the poor quality of the food we did receive, the experience was extremely disappointing. We ultimately decided to walk out because we didn’t feel confident in the quality of what was being served. I don’t understand how they’re still open operating like this. Very disappointed.

We went to bacon fest in Kettering Saturday. Dayton BBQ Co was EASILY the highlight of the event. We got the burnt ends and the Mac n cheese. When I say wow I mean WOW!!! I’m really picky about my Mac n cheese and these folk NAILED IT! Burnt ends were tender and the sauce was FIRE!! The folk that were working were some of nicest people I’ve come across in Dayton! Sydney was so hospitable. I’m bringing the crew to their restaurant VERY soon. Thanks guys!!

Giving five stars because I do not want to hurt this business that I usually really enjoy. But food has gone way downhill and I hope that ownership does something to save this establishment. The kids chicken tenders were not kid friendly at all, and the best thing on the menu, the jalapeño cornbread spoon bread, variety is gone. There were no pulled pork, ribs, any type of meat except hamburger. Chicken sandwich had tendons/spit-out parts. There were staff members dressed inappropriately and not in uniform and people coming out from the kitchen that gave us question. Please consider making changes.

The brisket was some of the best I’ve ever had. Mac and cheese was a little too creamy but the flavor was delicious. Collard greens were too garlicky for my liking. Honey crisp beer was a 10/10. We’ll definitely be back
