We went tonight after winning their Valentines Day contest. We have never actually come and eaten at the tavern before so we were very excited. We got a baby sitter and everything. When we arrived we didn’t know to find a seat but G the bar manager told us to sit anywhere. From there everything was perfect. The drinks were terrific to start. Then the dry rub on the traditional wings was so good. Well seasoned with a sweet note. I also tried the spicy sauce they had on the side. It was definitely spicy but super good. The fries were amazing. My wife ordered the steak and besides it needing to get cooked a little longer it was really good. I ordered the fire roasted shrimp linguine. The shrimp was so juicy and well cooked and I loved the sauce. Now the best part was the mini doughnuts! They were out of the apple whiskey glaze but the caramel was really good too! I could not recommend The Tavern more. G was impeccable. Very funny and personable. Everything was great and we can’t wait to have another evening out there.

This place deserves five stars. We went in on a Friday evening while there were events at the performing arts center right next store. We got seated and ordered all within five minutes. Server was great, food too. Loved the ranch salad dressing and the rest of it meal was great. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately I cannot rate the food because we ended up leaving the restaurant even before we got a table. I’m not sure who decided that seat yourself on a fully packed night before a Beaver hockey game, manager on duty was G but whoever it was, I would reconsider. Talking to other patrons waiting, they had to fight for a table and even had a table taken from them because of this seat yourself decision. Would’ve loved to experience this restaurant before a game but would definitely not recommend.

Restaurant had no process for customers on hockey night. Seat yourself. Walked through and found nothing. Not greeted by any employees. Stood around for 5-10 min. According to the sign, the manager on duty was “G”. This was not our first time visiting Tavern, but we were disappointed in this experience and ended up going elsewhere.

I ate here four times while I was in town and enjoyed each time I was there. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. My only negative was that they are open until 1:00am but the kitchen closes at 10:00. Twice I was there after 10 and would have ordered food but could not.

Pros; great service atmosphere and happy hour specials. Cassie was fantastic as our server. Great on communication. Burger and wings were cooked perfectly and tasty.
Two negatives; no print or online beer menu. Most importantly, the club sandwich was bland. Tasted like packaged meat (see photo). Two out of three items were good, and as I mentioned previously, the service was great. Views from the bar are a bonus as well. Won’t hesitate to come back, but I will avoid ordering the club.

Food was really good. I ordered the Surf & turf and really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, but a little slow, especially given how slow it was in there on a Wednesday night. Food did take quite a while to get to me but tasted great. They do have a “credit card fee” though. If you’re staying in the hotel, it’s very convenient.

Sweet chili mustard boneless wings were on point with a sweet heat would recommend. Chipotle chicken sandwich Sunday special was very good moist chicken. Food was prepared very well. Great atmosphere and food quality would recommend to anyone coming through or around Bemidji Mn to stop in.

OK, I’m a picky wing girl and I’m the very first to admit that. I’ve tried several things here, just hadn’t done the wings, but Jordan was amazing and told me they are her favorite so I had to try.. oh. My. God. Yes yes and yes. Great dry rub, great blue cheese and the wings were perfectly cooked! Definitely some great food they are putting out here!
