This place is small, yet was hands down the best meal family has went out and had in a very long time. We drove 1.5 hours and we will be doing it again. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Frequently check to make sure everything is good and or need anything. Very clean dinning and restrooms. This is a must try.

Ridiculously good! My family each ordered a Captain’s Platter (the special that night – crab, shrimp, and oysters). The portions were right for the price, and so was the freshness and flavor.

We have eaten at Valley Smoke House many many times. The food is always delicious and you never leave hungry!! Seafood, Killer! Steaks, killer! Sides, killer!! Service is awesome! They make great drinks and a good selection of beer. I know I should try other places too but they never ever disappoint! They also have amazing food to go options and catering too!

We found the ribeye of our dreams on vacation here! I added boiled shrimp to mine; I couldn’t decide which was better, the ribeye or the shrimp. Mixed greens and stewed tomatoes were the perfect accompaniments. Everything was SO good. It was great to look at the wall decorations and find a little bit of home. BOOMER!

We recently moved to the area and this was our first time ordering from here.
We ordered dinner take out and gentleman on the phone was very polite. Our order was ready for pickup in ten minutes. We were very anxious and looking forward to seeing what is was going to be like.
The meal exceeded our expectations. We each had a wicked barbeque sandwich that comes with two sides. We chose macaroni and cheese, fried apples, seasoned potatoes and greens and also fried pickles. The sides had a very homemade flavor and the barbeque was perfectly done. The portions were plentiful!
We will definitely be back!

An amazing dinner experience. So much food. Started with crab dip and potatoe wedges. They give you hush puppies, as you would get bread. Rib eye was delicious and juicy. Could not finish it. Mac and cheese was rich and gooey. My husband had the carrot cake , which was huge! Only recommendation was more beer selections. It was pricey, but it was a great experience.

We live in Harrisonburg and have been wanting to try this place for a while. We finally got the chance tonight and everything was absolutely incredible. The prime rib was super tender and flavorful, even the steamed shrimp were perfectly cooked so the shell just fell away. The crab legs were so easy to crack and pull out in one piece. Portions were huge and service was great as well. We will definitely be back.
