I came across Stuffy’s Frosty Jug completely by accident. I was actually in the area planning to try a different restaurant but it had closed by the time I arrived. A few locals suggested I give this place a try — and I’m so glad I listened.
You can feel the history the moment you pull in. This is the kind of place that has been part of the community for decades. It has that true old-school charm that’s becoming harder and harder to find — relaxed, welcoming, and full of nostalgia.
We ordered the patty melt, a classic burger, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and a thick shake. Everything was exactly what you hope for from a place like this: simple, honest food done right. No trends, no fuss — just comforting flavors that remind you why these classics never go out of style.
Sitting outside during golden hour made it even more special. It felt like stepping into a small piece of local history.
Places like this deserve to be supported so they can continue serving their community for years to come. If you’re anywhere near Dickson, it’s absolutely worth the stop.

First time here and I loved it. Old times feel and the staff was very friendly, food came out pretty fast. It took me back to my childhood, eating at the local burger place. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries, very tasty. It was a smash burger with 4 slices of bacon. Veggies on the burger were very fresh. They have a full menu with lots of options, I’m looking forward to trying more things from the menu, including some classic desserts. I’m definitely coming back and I’ll finish off a good meal with a Banana Split.

First of all, the girl working the counter was so sweet and patient with me as a first timer. Menu prices are pretty fair given food costs these days. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sliders to go, which comes with three sliders. There was almost no meat on the third slider, which was kind of a bummer, but the flavor was great, which I didn’t expect given the appearance. The fries were just average for me. I also got an ice cream cone while waiting, and it was so nice to be able to get a hand-scooped ice cream cone (soft serve is boring!). First time I’d had a REAL ice cream cone in ages.
The restaurant has an old school jukebox that unfortunately doesn’t work, but it’s a cool piece of decor. This place is just an old mom & pop-style hole in the wall type of place. You’re not getting 5-star dining – you’re getting a quaint, old school dining experience. Hopefully this is one place that never remodels to “modernize”. These hole in the wall joints are disappearing, and the charm of this place is the nostalgia – right down to the sky blue cinderblock. I can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu and grab another ice cream cone.

Food was average, nothing amazing. I had a chocolate shake but it didn’t have much flavor and it was like the ice cream they used was old. The fries were good. The hamburger could’ve used more seasoning. The inside of the place could use a good cleaning since the decorations by the register looked dusty and the floor by the arcade machine was dirty. The employee was pleasant when taking my order.

What a great lil find in Dickson! The food was delicious! We had the hand patted fresh burgers and a fried bologna sandwich…both were extremely delicious…fries and tots were hot and crispy…Mac n cheese bites were delicious. We always like to find the Lil local owned places wherever we go and Stuffy’s Frosty Jug did not disappoint! We’ll be back and will be trying the shaved ice and ice cream!

The burgers here are killer!!! I’ve had some good burgers recently, but this place hands down makes the best burgers around!!! We’ll seasoned and juicy!!! After you take your first bite you wanna keep eating because you can’t believe its really that good!!! And the shakes are delicious as well… Best bang for your buck anywhere around town!!! I’ll definitely be back!!!
