Absolutely lovely place for some delicious coffee and beautiful art! I appreciate the welcoming environment that the staff offer. And so helpful when choosing which drink off their menu to choose from! I ended up with an iced mocha with almond milk and their gluten free “Cosmic Brownie!” Both were SO good! Thankful for this place for offering substitutes for milk and offering gluten free options.

Best coffee shop in Johnson City. The customer service, quality of drinks, and atmosphere is always above and beyond. It is a very welcoming environment. I appreciate their focus on support of downtown business and local artisans. My wife purchased a new tote bag that is perfect for the farmers market after you pick up your cup of coffee or tea. She is also obsessed with the cold brew coffee Togo lids. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Pros: They’re very nice and friendly here, I spilled my iced latte and they made me a new one. They make great cappuccinos. I like their beans a lot. My mom comes multiple times a week when she’s visiting. Look how beautiful the latte art is!
Keep in mind (if you have kids): I feel like the vibes are not quite right for bringing the kids – which is fine if you’re childfree or can get away on your own – but I always feel just a little anxious when I’ve got mine in tow. More of a grab-and-go situation if you’re a mom with social anxiety.

I’m visiting Johnson City and was determined to find a coffeehouse that was good!! This place went well past my expectations! The coffee is phenomenal! Customer service could have been a little better but they were helpful and kind enough. All in all cute and cozy atmosphere, amazing coffee, and customer service was good too:) will definitely be coming back a time or two before I leave.
Update: I came back and the cashier taking our order was so friendly!

Dos Gatos has the best coffee in Johnson City. Their Cafe Miel is my all time favorite coffee and is definitely worth the trip!

Went to a more local commercialized coffee place first. I should’ve come to Dos Gatos from the very beginning. Not only is it a queer-friendly space, but I absolutely loved the environment and the people. The barista was very nice and made an amazing cold brew coffee. I’m from the Midwest, but when I come into town again, I will be back!

This is one of the friendliest coffee shops I’ve ever been to! We stopped in here while visiting Johnson City, and everyone from the baristas to the other patrons were were instantly welcoming and warm – telling us their favorite drinks, and local hiking spots. Great banana bread and lattes too. Highly recommend!

Allow them to suprise you if you like to try new things. I’ve asked this multiple times and Everytime it’s amazing. You can feel the love in it locally owned; it’s a hot coffee spot for johnson city, a must try that you’ll want to take your friends to. They have new art every month to start conversation and enlighten your mind. Quiet corners for peace while you study.

No because this was a such a weird vibe. Okay Rachel? I think that might be her name, she was chill and talkative. Definitely the most enjoyable part of the experience. Homie dude who took my order was so awkward, and I’m like a super awkward person myself but it was … uncomfortable awkward. He wasn’t being gross or anything I just think the social skills were somewhere else. Not rude either – just different. But also I was feeling delirious after having drove 9 hours to get coffee. I’ll find all the excuses. Everyone except for that one girl and someone I asked about the door in the back being functional were all like NPC’s… lol so freaking weird. Even the people inside chilling at the tables. It was so freaking strange. It’s also so hard to rate this such a weird experience I don’t even want to rate it I just want to voice how i felt lol.
The cucumber toast thing was pretty good but I do wish the cream cheese had something in it for more flavor. The bread and balsamic wasn’t enough.
The lavender coffee was good. The lid was lowkey my favorite! Idk why most places done have lids like that!
I don’t think I’d come here again. I didn’t hate it, I just also don’t think it was giving what I was looking for either. That’s not to say you wouldn’t love it or enjoy it either! By all means the potential is totally there! It just wasn’t for me
