I’m sorry but the girl that was there was very stingy with the meat. she literally put one small scoop of meat for a bowl and proceeded to spread it out like we were begging for the food. Also when I asked for more meat she did the same thing. $41.95 for a bowl and large burrito is outrageous!!! The bowl was not even full! BIGGEST SCAM!!! I don’t know if the girl was in a mood but please CHINTAN (the name on the receipt) do better. Rubbish

Wow, I’m so impressed with this place! Not only was the food amazing, but the portions are very generous. I ordered Veggie bowl , it was loaded with fresh toppings and flavor, and the guacamole is hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had. I am only here for a short visit but I keep returning to this restaurant for the great food and service.They have been generous with their food portions and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant is clean and I appreciate that they wear hair nets, wash their hands and wear gloves for each customers order. I have a gluten allergy and they respect my specific requests. Great addition to Thompson and for take out and dine in food options.

I ordered the quesadilla and veggie nachos at Gauc Mexi Grill, Thompson, and they were absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the staff were super friendly, nice, and very talkative, which made the experience even better. Great service and great food, highly recommended! Definitely a five-star place.

My two-star review isn’t an attack; it’s an accurate assessment. Two stars means “poor.” It means the food is mediocre and tastes processed, the service is consistently, bafflingly slow, and the prices are unjustified for the quality and portion size. These are facts, not a personal grudge.
The glowing five-star reviews for this place are a perfect reflection of the problem in Thompson. We have been conditioned to expect so little that when something new opens that is merely “slightly mediocre,” we celebrate it like it’s a Michelin-starred revelation. People in this city have been starved for decent choices for so long that they’ve forgotten what good food and good service actually feel like.
So, Guac Mexi Grill, you are the new kid on the block, but you’re still serving overpriced, underwhelming food with poor service. Don’t take offense to my review; take it as a challenge. Too expensive!!!! Very stingy and too small quantity…when we ask for the sauces they just mumble and that’s it!!! Too rude staff. We just got a veggie quesadilla and veggie rice bowl and a drink and they charge for $41.59. There are other mexican restaurants in Winnipeg including guac which doesn’t charge extra for queso and cheese and they provide decent quantity. This site prepared my quesadillas in a small size of tortillas which in Walmart you can easily get in $5. Not recommended at all!!!!
