Strong in the flavor, Ammar India Restaurant is! Every bite here feels like a journey through the Force of flavor and aroma.
The Paneer Tikka Masala was creamy, rich, and bursting with spice — pure comfort in every scoop.
The Saag Paneer brought balance to the meal with its smooth spinach base and perfectly tender cheese cubes.
The Vegetable Samosas were golden and crisp, like crunchy little triangles of happiness.
️ And the Chaat Samosa? A flavor explosion — tangy chickpeas, onions, and sauce that could awaken any Padawan’s appetite.
The portion sizes were generous, prices very reasonable, and the food quality was out of this galaxy. Staff were kind and welcoming, making it a stellar stop for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in the area.

They don’t have the lunch buffet right now but are running an awesome special with your choice of three entrees, fresh naan, rice and a vegetable and a dessert for only $12.99. Super good and fresh.

This was our first time eating here and it exceeded our expectations! It was my Birthday dinner and we wanted something unique and new. In a town full of chain restaurants and so much fast food … this was such a treat! The staff made suggestions on the best options since it was our first time and it was PERFECT! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will be making this our new date night spot ! Can’t wait to bring the whole family.

Authentic Indian resturant in dowtown Zanesville. Lets just say i was super excited to have lunch and experience some of the dishes. When I lived in Nairobi Kenya, my husband and I would dine at a Indian resturant, so the savory bites brought back good memories. Everything we ordered was delicious. They also have a buffett. I will definitely do that on my next visit. The butter chicken, tandoori chicken, garlic naan and samosa is a must try and yes grab you a cocktail from the bar. I had thee best margarita.

The vegetable pakoras are by far my favorite appetizer here. They have lots of delicious entre options with a lot of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian options. The Naan is really good! Service is always fast and friendly. They have a spice level scale from 1 to 6. If youre someone who likes heat 6 deff brings the heat. Ive also had medium spicy which was very good and tolerable.

Now we have been looking for food relatively authentic Indian cuisine. We had the buffet, which was amazing. The staff (Jatt) was our server was amazing. Attentive and friendly. If you want to try a variety of dishes choose the buffet and save room…if they have the mango custard it was delicious and the Chi Tea was pretty good as well.

Jatt was outstanding. We don’t really eat that type of food too often, however, he took the time to train and explain.
I asked for a 6 – level spicy (out of 6) and that was also delivered.
Clean plate club here! Nice job

This is the BEST place in Zanesville to eat! The food, service and atmosphere are top notch. Oh and the almighty dollar, the price is very reasonable especially for the lunch buffet! If you have not tried this restaurant you are missing some really good flavors!

Support Local!! If you haven’t tried Ammar yet, you are missing out! This was my second visit, and it was just as great as the first over a year ago! I’ve traveled to Mumbai recently and experienced true authentic Indian cuisine. When I tried Ammar the first time, I felt the many flavors were comparable and just as delicious as what I had overseas. The samosas, butter chicken and garlic naan are so amazing!! The cocktails are very good and extremely affordable. The service has been great both times I’ve visited the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back to Ammar during my next visit to Zanesville!
