Came here for the first time with my wife. Ordered the Carne Asada Fries, Quesabirria Tacos, Quesabirrilla, and the Barbacoa Tacos. For drinks, we got a refreshing watermelon drink and Horchata. Everything was super flavorful and amazing. The comp chips and salsa were delicious too. The chips were thick and crunchy and the salsa was so fresh. I looooove anything birria and this place hit the spot. The broth was so good too. The Carne Asada fries were surprising crazy good. It was packed with flavor and meats. Overall, decently priced for the quality of the food. This by far, is the best Mexican restaurant that we had so far since we moved here to TX from Hawaii. We will definitely be back to something else as their menu has a large selection of entrees.
The staff were friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at. They also have bar seating. Located across the street from the HEB Villa Maria location. The parking lot is a bit small, but you should be fine.

I was in Bryan for 2 weeks and went out to eat twice. Both times was at Don Chente because of how good it was. I cannot speak more highly of the staff here and the food was extraordinary. One of their staff stood out to me, a young man that said he had just started and come from a Don Chente in College Station. He was so helpful and was quick to help and nothing but polite. I hope he gets recognition for being an asset to this establishment. 10/10 no complaints.

This was my first time eating here. It was DELICIOUS! The waitress was so sweet! EVERYONE greeted us and were very KIND!!! The atmosphere was great. It was bright, they had so many delicious choices, and the music was great!! I got the 7 Seas soup! I will definitely be back! ❤️

We visit occasionally from the Dallas area. We found this restaurant one night after late games – it’s nice to have a place that stays open. After 2-3 visits, we’ve had good food and excellent service. Villa Maria is the only store we’ve visited, but we wouldn’t to hesitate to visit any of the Don Chente’s again!

We ordered the quesabirria tacos and grilled chicken nachos and they were delicious! Don’t drink the tea. It had a bad flavor cause of the faucet water. The music is very loud for my taste. Should be lowered so people can have a decent conversation and not feel your sitting in a night club.

The tacos are missing meat. Where’s the beef? For 3.50, I would expect a well served taco. The food tasted good but the portions are small. The rice had no flavor as it was very dry. I had to add green salsa to it. I would probably would not go again to this restaurant.

First time experience here and the atmosphere is inviting and the staff is friendly . My significant other and I were seated immediately you can pick where you wanna sit.i got the horchata to start out which wasnt bad at all (6/10) my significant other got a Coke and I really love the chips and salsa my significant other hand, the Asada tacos (6/10)and I got the video tacos. I got the birria tacos (7/10) its a decent spot . Its just super loud on the inside

I got the birria quesadilla and it was amazing! The staff was diligent and they seemed genuinely happy which definitely helps promote a comfortable environment! I love all the don chente locations and this was the first time I came to this one, love it!!!

Been coming here for awhile and the food was so good and affordable now it’s overpriced and bland. The camarones a la diabla used to be super spicy and good, now they’re not even mild! My partners fajitas were cut up so small almost like it was for a toddler. The service was also okay, our waitress was not bad or good. But the conversation between servers and cooks was definitely not job related, more flirty than anything. I wouldn’t recommend coming.
