Unacceptable Behavior from Arby’s Management in Blairsville

This afternoon at the Blairsville Arby’s, I experienced something that left me shocked and disappointed. As I was getting out of my car to grab $10.42 that I was short on my bill, the man pictured — the general manager of that Arby’s — honked his horn at me.

To be clear, the entire moment took less than 60 seconds to get the change— my son already had the $10 bill in his hand, and I literally grabbed 42 cents in change from my console and shut the door. That’s when he honked at me. When I raised my arms to see what he needed, he became defensive. When I raised my arms again, he started to get out of his car, acting aggressive and confrontational.

There was defensive behavior on both of our parts in the parking lot, but things escalated when he began being disrespectful because he wanted the parking spot next to my car. that at this point was already free and clear because we were trying to walk into the restaurant. My son stated several times for him not to speak to me that way as he began to get more defensive himself. Yes, my son was also on the extreme defense — and I give him no excuses — but he’s 16 years old, and this was a grown man.

At that point, all three of us were defensive and on edge, so I stepped in to separate the situation that was clearly escalating. We came inside the restaurant to diffuse things, and I explained to the employees what had happened — that the man was still sitting in his car near mine.

From behind the employee counter, he came in and continued to cause a scene, yelling at us in front of customers.

at this point, I never raise my voice, trying to keep things calm. I asked for the general manager’s phone number. He informed me that he was the general manager and refused to provide contact information for anyone above him.

Eventually, he set an email address down on the table in the lobby — right by the entrance — and loudly told us he never wanted to see us there again, once more in front of all the customers.

What’s even more disappointing is that I had just spent $52 on a meal to sit down with my family — a meal I never even got to enjoy. Everyone at our table was so unnerved by what happened. A very kind employee later came up to apologize for her boss’s behavior, saying several times that no one should ever be treated that way in front of so many people.

No parent or child should ever be treated this way — especially by someone in a position of leadership representing a business in our community. Respect, professionalism, and basic decency should always come first.

Ordered drive through at Arby’s, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 after 5:30 or so … ordered the meal ‘Ham & Swiss Melt w/Mayo, well, I got to my destination opened up my sandwich & it was terrible just awful. That’s such a problem with these drive throughs that don’t give you quality or are not at all like the picture you see advertised. And for this reason alone is why I don’t go to drive throughs. I called Arby’s to let them know how bad the Quality was my bread was mashed down, there was barely any ham & I had to really search for the Swiss cheese, it was ridiculous. Of course the horrible attitude that I got on the phone was just an added crap load of trash & lack of professionalism, his attitude was so combative… I was like taken aback with it. I thought to myself, if his attitude matches his hygiene, he probably didn’t even wash his hands when preparing my meal. He yelled at me, telling me I was wrong. Well needless to say I guess I won’t be going there anymore. I have shared my experience with a lot of people. Added a photo of the false advertisement meal and a photo what you really get….. it was just a horrible experience all the way around. There were not even busy, no cars were there….

Terrible service. Unless they know you then you might get some attention. I was profiled since I don’t look local and was basically ignored. My meal was excellent. It sat in front of me cooling off while I waited for a setup. Of course I told the fellow who seemed to be in charge about how I was treated. He was unresponsive, seems the employee’s run the show. Needless to say I would like to return for the food but can’t because I won’t allow servers to single patrons out and ignore them. Others who were seated at the same time as me were treated much differently and I did nothing to provoke such treatment. This place is a hard pass.

The service given under Dan the general manager’s care goes above and beyond what you expect a fast food resturant provides. We’ve all been snowed in for days and Arby’s was the only thing open. He was friendly & compassionate (since we were on foot) which felt like special treatment. Can’t say enough about his kindness. And the food was fresh and hot. A plus!

One of the nastess burgers I have ever eaten. Over cooked, tasted like a Bubba burger and the bub was chewy like rubber. The fish sandwich was good but the bun was also very chewy. Would not recommend

This restaurant was surprisingly very clean up front and looking past the registers to where they bag and cook your food. Cleanest fast food establishment i have been to. The service was fast and the cashier was very helpful and friendly.

During snow storm, they were the only place open. Great food, worth alittle longer wait time. They wanted the business.

I was reminded why I havent gone to this Arby’s in over a year. 1 car in drive thru and I was the only walk in to order. I went in for a special order, (regular bun instead of onion bun). They ignored that request. The fries sat in the warmer for the 5 minutes as I sat watched my Jamoca shack melt. Order was made quick, how ever it sat on the counter for 5 minutes while the staff was talking amongst themselves. Plus we got no more than a teaspoon of cheese on a Beef and Cheddars. I expected it to be bad. Wife was optimistic. I was right.
