Tacos Almax is amazing!! I usually go to their smaller location located inside Shell on Cortez Rd W, however, I didn’t make it in time, before they closed the smaller location for the day. I had never been to this location and it didn’t disappoint one bit!! The food and service was phenomenal!

Real traditional Mexican food, and oh so yummy, very delicious!
I’ve been here twice and this place does not disappoint!
First visit I got tacos they are very well priced at $2.50 for street tacos (cilantro, onion) and $3 for deluxe (lettuce tomatoes and all the other random stuff they put on tacos in the US)
I got barbacoa, birria and carne asada, all super delicious.
Second visit I got a cubana torta (nothing to do w cuban sandwich). I chose the giant one an oh man they weren’t kidding with the giant description. ITS HUUUUUGE!!! I ate a half in 2 separate sessions and then split the other half with 3 people. Definitely a good price for the size I think it was $18.
Super friendly and welcoming owners and service, I highly recommend this place, top notch, no fusion cuisine, just traditional flavors and cooking from Mexico.

This place is a cozy home like atmosphere and the food is so good ! at first we were a little hesitant because of the location however once we entered we were pleased. The posted prices do not reflect what they charge. I requested 5 tacos and a side of plantains. Paid $16 as requested. Received only 5 tacos and no plantains and was then told I did not order plantains and that tacos were $3.20. Posted price of tacos were $2.59.

Ordered a small torta for 8.99 and two tacos at 2.59 each and the lady said it wld be 20 bucks and went to go see the bank statement and it was nearly $30 do not trust these people
