Very fine dining, with excellent service and even better food.

This place was highly recommended because as my friend said, this is the only pizza that does not give him indegestion because they use flour and tomatoes straight from Italy.

With that recommendation,I thought it would be more of a pizza joint, but was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance and quality of service.

I did not have reservations, so I ate at the bar, and it was very nice.

The wine list is extensive, and the pizza was unexpectedly delicious.

I only wish I had room for desert, but I did not. I’m sure it would have been amazing.

Well worth the several trips around the block to find parking (I’m from out of town).

Always perfection. The food is always delicious, beautifully prepared from fresh seasonal ingredients and artistically plated. Excellent wine choices and service that is exactly what it should be, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful without ever feeling intrusive. Cozy interior and even excellent curb service.

This restaurant is the best authentic Italian restaurant in the city of Birmingham. The service was great and the food was impeccable. The owner made sure that we were satisfied with our meals and had such an awesome welcoming friendly attitude. The staff was very inviting and to think that we almost didn’t enjoy this awesome place due to not making a reservation because we didn’t know. The owner met us at the door and made it work for us by fitting us in and still seating us regardless of us not having a reservation. Marco was such a delight to conversate with and his personality is of a true Italian. He speaks what is the truth and that’s one thing to love about an owner in the restaurant business. We’re definitely coming back and the $60 tip on a $160 bill was definitely worth the lovely experience and the awesome food. If you’re ever in the downtown Birmingham area give Le Fresca a try, trust me you won’t regret it.

It was honestly the most happy accident that we found ourselves at Lé Fresca. The host was able to help us get a seat at the bar on a busy night. We ordered the pork and Gorgonzola pizza and the short rib ravioli special. Both were amazing, especially paired with the Pinot Nero. We finished our evening with a delicious tiramisu! Our bartender who waited on us, Matthew, gave us great recommendations relating to the menu, wine pairings and provided great company and service. As an out of town visitor, I have already added this restaurant to a reason to return to Birmingham again soon!

This place is always an A+ in my book. It’s by far my favorite restaurant to go to in Birmingham. I really enjoy that they are constantly rotating their menu to feature different items so even if you come back regularly, you can always try something different. For appetizers, we ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the Burrata. Both dishes were excellent. I highly suggest trying their ravioli. All of their pastas are homemade, but the ravioli is sent from heaven and simply irresistible. For drinks, we got an Aperol spritz And the lost plane which is an aged rum cocktail. For our main, we ordered the Ragu rigatoni And the braised short rib risotto. Also I ordered the pork chop with sautéed kale and butternut squash. I love their pork chops here because they don’t have that extremely porky taste to them. it’s a high cut of pork I can tell you that. They knocked both of these dishes out of the park. Our server crystal was amazing and extremely attentive and suggested a lot of dishes for us to try. The owner is super friendly and I like joking around with him. He’s always checking on tables and making sure the restaurant is in tiptop shape. I do understand that there are a plethora Of other Italian restaurants to try, but I always find myself back at this one. The Quality and attention to detail is unparalleled. Just as a sidenote, I strongly recommend that anyone reviewing restaurants on Google always put the name of your dishes and drinks in the review or on the pictures. I love trying some of the items that you all suggest but have a hard time, figuring out what it is specifically on the menu.

I ordered a Margherita pizza to go. The person I spoke to on the phone was really cool and knowledgeable, and I appreciated that they let me just drive up for pickup without having to park—I stayed in the car and it was super convenient.

They made the pizza fresh, and I liked that they didn’t start it until I was about 5 minutes away, so it was hot when I got it. But sadly, the flavor didn’t hit the mark for me. It didn’t taste like a traditional Margherita pizza—the tomato sauce was barely there, and the crust had an odd salty taste I couldn’t quite place. The cheese had a creamy, almost Alfredo-like flavor, which threw it off from what I expected.

Despite the good reviews for the Margherita, I did not like it!

Marco was my bartender for lunch and I didn’t know until the end he is the owner! Service was fast, the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming, and the food is the most authentic Italian I’ve found in Alabama. Thank you for a special time, Marco and Frank! I will be returning!
