First time eating Fuzhounese food, and I really enjoyed it. The prices are unbeatable, but the reason I will come back is the freshness and flavor of the food. The taro and oyster cakes are a must try, and the sweet and sour fish fillets were really good. Next time I’d go for the chrysanthemum fish.
If the street level room is closed, walk downstairs on the right side of the building.

Good selection of Chinese dishes. Tasty and good but not exceptional. Large indoor dining hall upstairs from the street. They do take credit cards. Service was very good and prompt.

4/21/22: Had the “Spare ribs foo chow style on rice” (4.25*), “Foo chow wonton soup” (3.5* kind of bland), “Plain noodle w peanut sauce” (3.75*, it’s just fettucine topped with salty sweet peanut sauce), “Fried taro cake” (4.5*, perfectly fried)

Went with my parents as we usually do whenever we visit NYC and ordered the usual. Got our food and I almost finished my two dishes until I noticed something odd in the noodles that I ordered which I thought was just a peanut at first but nope it was a juvenile cockroach. Yea I was pretty damn sick the more I thought about it. Showed it to the waitress and she barely reacted and said we would not be charged for the dish and took it out back so this gives me a feeling this is either a common occurrence or was fully intentional. I fully regret now not taking a picture of my freebie from the chef cause I can only imagine the damage that it could do to this ‘fine’ establishment. Too bad for me and great for them that I was too damn tired from the long drive from out of state. Maybe I should have made a health code violation report and then they won’t be so snobbish.

Great food and portions. The waitresses don’t speak English, so you know it’s good! I had the chow fun and I really enjoyed it. It is not expensive either. I went to the basement area to eat, there may be an upstairs too.

Horrible experience. I went down to the basement of this restaurant. The staff only speak weird mandarin, couldn’t even take order properly. We ordered 3 dishes and one never came until we reminded her, she insisted we didn’t order. We asked her for bowls for sharing soup, she was pissed. also, we were seated right next to the freezer. The freezer door is made of glass, which means you can see everything inside. They put the frozen chicken and some other “I don’t want to mention” meat inside the freezer for sale. The staff was using the end of our table to put the fresh meat and slowly put into the freezer. Some customers came in and picked up the frozen meat from the freezer. They didn’t close the freezer properly. We noticed that because a very unpleasant smell started flowing out after those customers took something out from the freezer. We asked the owner and the staff to check if the freezer door was properly closed, they didn’t take any action. I stood up trying to finish my bite farther away from the freezer but I lost my appetite completely, we had to go.
I didn’t expect any service from this place if tips are not needed, however, a restaurant is a restaurant, please move your freezer back to your kitchen.

Very delicious and authentic tasting Fuzhounese fare. Well priced and the food came out fast and abundant! Service was curt and minimal. Restaurant was not that clean. But if you’re looking for authentic Fuzhounese dishes, this would be the spot.

recently had the pleasure of dining at Yung Sun, and let me just say, their Skibidi Slicers are a game-changer! These little wonders completely transformed my dining experience. The Skibidi Slicers are incredibly versatile and deliver the most precise cuts. Whether it’s tender meats, crisp vegetables, or even delicate fruits, these slicers handle it all with finesse. They have truly elevated my culinary adventures to a whole new level. The attention to detail and quality at Yung Sun is commendable. Not only are the Skibidi Slicers exceptional, but the overall dining experience is top-notch. The ambiance is inviting, the service is impeccable, and the flavors are absolutely delightful. Yung Sun has become my go-to spot whenever I crave something yummers
