This was my first time dining at Stella Blues, and I am satisfied with my experience! I enjoyed a solo date at the bar and the service was wonderful. If you prefer tropical sweet drinks– I highly recommend the Cabana Banana cocktail! I decided to try the gumbo dish and it was amazing. I have not had gumbo from down south to compare but to my defense, the flavors and spices were well up to par. The portion size of the dish is appropriate- enough for leftovers as well! (Side note: I was told they make everything from scratch!). The bartenders are personable, and made sure I was taken care of through out my dinner. They don’t rush you, and truly do want you to enjoy your meal, and the overall ambiance of the establishment. I felt the pricing was fair for the quality of food and service which they provide. They provide a large menu as well. Please put this restaurant on your radar to check out. You will not be disappointed!

The ambience was perfect, the gypsy margarita was absolutely delicious and A+ on the food plus menus. So much goodness to choose from! I had crab artichoke dip, caesar salad and catfish fingers… A wonderful experience.

My boyfriend and I had Valentine’s dinner at Stella Blue, and it was the perfect choice. Our server was so sweet and attentive, the food was delicious, and the drinks were potent! A huge shot out on the decor, which was classy, eclectic, funky, and just perfect. The music was all 80s-90s love songs, which fit the evening perfectly! The restaurant seemed to have deliberately not overbooked, so every table had privacy to enjoy the romance. We will definitely be back next time we visit Eau Claire!

Stella Blues far exceeded my expectations. The interior is very NOLA esque going right along with the menu selections. We got the crab dip, shrimp and grits, and Cajun pasta with andouille sausage and shrimp. All of the food was hot and excellent. Service was very good. Only thing to mention is meat add ons are $8 each so keep that in mind.

Some of the most delicious food in the city. The staff is friendly, very helpful answering questions about the menu. Great atmosphere. Food can be a little messy, as good Cajun food should be! One suggestion: wet wipes at the tables.

Order the corn bread and pass on most other dishes. We had ordered several dishes to share in our group. Mac & cheese was beyond over salted. Crab and Cajon dip was over powered with what I believe is Mayo, I barely touched it. They had posted on the bottom of each page that you’re responsible to pay for each item ordered so I didn’t bother bringing up to the server. She was nice and running around everywhere, just terrible food. Check it out for a drink but have a meal elsewhere is my recommendation.

Some reviewers are complaining about the food but we had a good experience. I ordered the Rockefeller Pasta with crawfish. My friends ordered the Cajun Pasta and a burger. Though I didn’t think either of the pastas were award winners I give them both a 7/10. We tried two or three drinks each and the only one we didn’t like was the James Bond. I especially enjoyed the New Orleans Grenade which is built like a Long Island Iced Tea. The Lemonade with Green Apple Vodka was surprisingly good and not a combo I would normally go for. I love the vibe of the place which is kitschy without being too loud. Our server was amazing, prompt, and friendly. Stella Blues has extremely limited hours so I strongly recommend getting there early before people pack in.

Appetizer…. I ordered the oysters, they were very good but they needed one thing done to them before they were served. They need to be broiled for at least a minute! Then they will be perfect!
I had Steak in red wine sauce with scallops in white cheese sauce with steamed green beans and mashed potatoes OMG it was amazing!!
The choices of dessert is phenomenal!
And the chocolate martinis…. yummy!

OMG THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC. Small, quiet little place, but VERY good!! The Smoky Mango Habanero Old Fashion was my FAVORITE!! Their Oysters were amazing, too – got 3 orders of 6 LMFAO. I’d definitely go back for sure. Glad I checked this place out…..
