Valeria met my friend and I so warmly today. We always look forward to lunches at Jyoti Bihanga! The light streams in the corners windows and it’s comfort food, servers and atmosphere is so refreshing! Soups are some of my favorites there…especially the lentils. Beyond the Smile veggie burger is the best one in town…or anywhere! This is the only restaurant where I will eat mashed potatoes and gravy. Apple pie is all natural, no filler additives. You really TASTE the apples. Tea selections are quite pleasing as well. Eating here is a peaceful and palate pleasing respite!!!!! All the best servers and staff! Thank you for exceptional spiritual quality!

Since 1986! Impressive. My review is redundant – but here goes: VEGAN food! Plus other WELL LABELED options like vegetarian and gluten free. Lilting music, soft lighting and pastel blue surrounding – like a meditation bath – with nibbles! Interesting information about Sri Chinmoy abounds. Indian lamps and lovely greenery. The Rama Bowl was enjoyed by my table mate. I had a small nachos. The beans were seasoned in a yummy way and the fresh guacamole was delicious.

Its very difficult for me to find the perfect ingredients (gluten free, sugar free, no seed and canola oils and so on) in the salads and meals. They have the best food. And also the team is meditating every day before they open the restaurant. How important it is to cook with pure and kind head !!! The price is very very very affordable.

Super friendly staff, great outdoor seating and very dog friendly. Large menu, with a variety of options. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free. There’s a reason this place has been here for nearly 40 years. The vegan neatloaf is great, So is the beyond burger. Mashed potatoes and gravy is an amazing side to have with the sandwiches.

This place is very warm and inviting. It feels clean and it feels spiritual or enlightened kind of like a feeling of being at a yoga place. It was a very good Ambience to have eaten here. I had a salad that was pretty tasty with tempeh bacon and I would definitely get that again. I was breaking a fast and I was starving so I decided to also get the vegan burrito. The vegan burrito was okay but then again I am used to more traditional Mexican foods. I would not get the burrito again. Overall I would definitely come back again as I had a good experience. Just come prepared if you pay your credit card they charge you 3% upcharge

Delicious and healthy vegan and vegetarian food in a cute neighborhood! We ordered the vegan meatloaf with nachos with vegan cheese, vegan mashed potatoes and gravy, little beet Pattie’s with salad and brown rice, vegan apple pie, vegan chocolate mouse cake, and vegan chocolate chip cookie. Everything was spectacular! Top favorite in San Diego!!

The oldest vegan vegetarian restaurant in San Diego. Must try the staples like the neatloaf, and the delicious soups they make daily. They have assigned parking next to the building. Specials are awesome and worth to try. They don’t serve alcohol and its make me very happy. Overall a relaxing experience with great people and food.
