We serve clean & authentic Ethiopian food with fresh ingredients accompanied by original flavors. We at JD restaurant aim to provide each and every guest with a wholesome cultural experience. Our food is authentic, flavorful & truly authentic. The tradition, colors, and scents of Ethiopian cuisine make it a very special experience for all. The food served is well flavored with a variety of spices & herbs that are not extremely spicy, but rather well seasoned.
Laid-back destination for traditional Ethiopian food served on injera bread, plus a cafe/bakeshop.

The owner was very attentive to the point he saw our table trying to figure out what to order from us being our first time. The food was amazing along with the coffee and ginger tea! The atmosphere was very cozy and intimate with the feel of being in another country! I would recommend this place and will be coming back again! 🙂 Thank you to Saron for your patience with us and great service!

Went here with a few friends of mine since we were craving Ethiopian food. Decided to give JD a try, since we’ve always passed it driving by.
The Food: Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact names of everything we ordered since my friend ordered it all. But, I can say that the quality and flavors for the meats and veggies were amazing! Flavorful and full of spices, the meats were tender and juicy. All of that cupped in some delicious injera was perfect. Portion sizes were good too!
The Service: Service was amazing. Staff were very friendly with the ordering process and they brought our platter out in a timely manner. Check ups and water refills were consistent as well.
The Atmosphere: Spacious with plenty of seating for small or big parties. Nicely decorated and clean. There’s also a section for a live band as well, so be sure to look out for that if you like. Parking is a little limited though.
Overall, a 5/5! Delicious Ethiopian food, great service and lovely staff. Would highly recommend JD Bar and Restaurant.

This restaurant was highly recommended to me as I wanted to try Ethiopian Cuisine. I now understand why as the food and friendly service was great in every way. I am hooked on the vegetable combination with an order of lamb. Trust me, you’ll be satisfied with this restaurant. I’ve now tried others closer to my home but none stacked up to JD Bar & Restaurant. Don’t let the name sway you, this is a great Restaurant that also contains a bar where customers meet, have a drink and also partake upon a shared meal. This is and will continue as my choice for Ethiopian Cuisine.

Amazing service and delicious food! The manager and waiter were super polite and professional. We ordered the JD Special #3 (Tibs and Lebleb Kitfo)—perfect portions and great prices. They even gave us a complimentary coffee ceremony for my birthday!

Wow, it’s unbelievable. I’m by Ethiopian roll meat and they charge me $52 for 2 pound $26 each. This place is very bad place and then also when I ask her a question she doesn’t wanna call or answer my questions the owner or something I’m very mad the money it’s OK but they lie what gets me that means they charging $17.25 but she charged me $26 and then I don’t appreciate it and then I don’t recommend nobody to go in that place.
