I had a great first experience at this cozy Italian spot tonight! My partner and I started with an order of cheese sticks as an appetizer—crispy and perfectly cheesy. For the main course, we ordered both the lasagna and the tortellini with meat, and they did not disappoint. Each entrée came with garlic bread and the choice of soup or salad, which was a nice touch. The portions were very generous—definitely come hungry!

The atmosphere gave classic mom-and-pop vibes, super welcoming and homey. It felt like a place that’s been loved by the community for years. Prices were really reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get.

This place absolutely deserves to be considered a Champaign staple. I’ll definitely be back!

Manzella’s is a really cute Italian spot; perfect for date night or to celebrate! My group ordered the pesto penne, a cheese lasagna, and the “bianca pizza.” The pastas came with a side of soup or salad and bread if some sort. Plan to spend about $25 per entree.

I got the bianca pizza, it had spinach, garlic, and artichoke on a neapolitan pizza base. The flavors well balanced and I had enough for breakfast the next day. I had a bite of my friends’ entrees (penne pesto and cheese lasagna), I thought it tasted fine, not life-changing, but also not bad.

I would come here again if someone else was paying for it (the ambience was 10/10).

I haven’t been here since my Fad passed, but it’s always been a number one spot as it’s so close to the train station. It’s worth the train trip from Chicago just for the atmosphere! The only place vlose to this is in Highwood ,Il. Really slammin with Chicagoan’s. I loved it here, will be back! I can taste your wonderfull red wine and Padta dishes now!! Parking was good I thought. Never an issue

When I walk into this restaurant, the smells in the atmosphere remind me of stepping back into the real Italian family restaurants. The one where there’s always a family table in the background, the one where there’s always a family member hanging out if not more. The hospitality makes you feel like you’re stepping back. Family. The food is very traditional very good. We had pizza, Soup and tortellini Alfredo. The prices are reasonable, but most of all I really enjoyed being here and feeling like I was going to visit my own family.

I’ve lived here for seven years and deeply regretting that I haven’t been here until tonight. This is going to be our pizza/go to place for dinner out. The vibe/atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant, great for a date or chill feeling after a hectic schedule. The staff were very friendly and the service was phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing. The pizza was, in my opinion, the best in the area, and I’ve eaten at pretty much every other pizza place around. We got a half hamburger pepperoni, and half pineapple Canadian bacon (because my partner is a heathen and doesn’t mind committing the worst pizza sin). Admittedly, I did try a piece of that pineapple and Canadian bacon and I actually liked it, which is a first. There hasn’t been a single other place I’ve ever liked that from. The marinara they use for the toasted ravioli is extremely good, speaking of, meat toasted ravioli is hard to come by here. Having grown up in St Louis area, that’s a staple for any Italian place and theirs is pretty good. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. I am extremely happy that we finally gave this place a try.

The atmosphere os very nostalgic and super cute! Nothing fancy but loved it! We ordered the meat lasagna, Italian beef and a sausage pizza. The lasagna is a traditional style, very tasty but was luke warm! The sauce is amazing! The pizza is worth a trip there alone! Hands down the best pizza Ive ever had in Champaign!!! I cant wait to order it again. Unfortunately, the Italian beef was not so tasty. It was roast beef, no flavor at all. We were very disappointed in that but it did not ruin the experience a bit. I recommend this restaurant very much, especially the pizza ♡

Family-oriented Italian restaurant. Talked with the waitress, very nice, forget her name, her family runs the place. Very down to earth, authentic. Prices are reasonable. Parking was easy. Quiet neighborhood. Pizza and pasta are recommended.

First time customer order a pizza granted it was a Saturday night but we were 2nd customers in door after they opened. We ordered right away with our drinks. Took 50 minutes to receive a handed tossed pizza. Watched 3 people with take out pizza go out the door in that time. Informed cashier just said well it says takes extra for pizza. That is a long time for hand tossed. Food was good but because of how service was would never return really a shame but I will spend my money were my service and time are appreciated.

I had a great time here with my girlfriend last weekend. This place strikes a good balance between a comfortable neighborhood feel and a classy night out. I would definitely recommend this place. Just don’t let your date see the bill or they’ll order desert

Manzella’s is a Champaign tradition. I have been enjoying their delicious food since 1980. I am not sure when they first opened. Reminds me of 100 year old family recipes that have been handed down for generations. Family and locally owned. I crave their meat lasagna every few months. We also always order an antipasto salad to share, with the house vinaigrette of course.
