My wife and I stopped in for an afternoon treat at the Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant . We got two scoops of ice cream and shared !
They were so nice and allowed us to use their restrooms! I want to go back and try the hot dogs ! We will return and bring our daughter to shop in the little shops down the streets near the Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant!
Thank you Wayne

Idk if they had an off day or something, but the tables and chairs were sticky, and the window had smear marks all over it. The salt and pepper shakers had stuff all over them. Frankly, it was gross and offputting. The food was cheap and cheap quality. I got a burger and fries and it was like eating in a school cafeteria with the quality of the meat. However, the staff was friendly and if I came in for ice cream only (which I will do from now on), I would have had a better rating to give. I’ll totally come back for ice cream but I couldn’t justify 4 stars.

While the Ice Cream Parlor wasn’t our first choice for a quick bite to eat, we were pleasantly surprised.

A cute corner building off the main streets of Southern Pines, which sports a bright and fun atmosphere that appeals to all ages, would be the perfect spot during the warmer months to stop for a sweet treat.

Upon entering the building, we acquired a table that had just been vacated, and a worker immediately came over to wipe off the table before we could get settled in.

The food menu was extensive, despite my first impression of it being an ice cream shop, and there were about 20 different flavors of ice cream to choose from.

We both ordered the All the Way hotdog, minus the slaw for mine, and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had his with the slaw, and he commented that it was the best hot dog he’s had in a long time. I also ordered the Coffeehouse Cookies and Cream milkshake, which was blended to a smooth consistency that could easily be sucked through a straw. Everything was delivered promptly to the table by the friendly employees.

We were there at about 5:15 on a Tuesday, which seemed to be a sweet spot for quick service. It was only a few minutes after we arrived that the lobby was full of families.

Since I only had two items, I only gave four stars, but I would love to go back and try out other food options and ice cream flavors. If you need something quick and simple, this is the place to go!

Awesome ice cream shop that provides top notch southern (pines) hospitality!

Tried the homemade lavender and honey ice cream. The flavor, the scent, the creaminess blew my mind. I think I fell in love. Will definitely be back for that same ice cream!!!

We explored Southern Pines over the weekend. After having dinner, it was so hot I suggested ice cream to my husband.
There was a little bit of a wait, but when I got up to the counter, I made sure to ask if they had homemade ice cream because I prefer it. It’s the smaller area that houses the homemade options. After tasting a few. I decided on the strawberry homemade ice cream, and it was really fresh tasting and good! I could tell that it was popular because the young woman was scraping nearly at the end of the ice cream container.
My husband went with something from the Hershey’s ice cream section. I have never liked to buy ice cream that you can buy in a store from any ice cream parlor.
I am so happy they had homemade options.
PS there was a lavender option. I have some friends that would love to try this!
Check it out!
Enjoy!

My husband and I stopped in for the first time last night. Ellie who had been working at the shop for less than a month, helped us. She was kind, refreshing and helpful. My husband ordered a banana split and she had not made one before but when asked by her supportive supervisor if she wanted her to make it, she said she wanted to learn to do one herself. She did a great job! Even though my husband changed up the traditional banana split, lol. The experience was great! Thank you ladies!

A great stop for a sweet treat! Besides the more familiar ice cream flavors, they also offer uncommon ones, like lavender & honey and “Nerd Attack,” which is based on the Nerds candy. They also have some vegan options. I had a single scoop of their homemade lavender & honey ice cream. It was creamy, refreshing, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced. It was the cherry on top of a hot evening in the summer!

Great place to get tasty frozen treats. Obviously popular with locals, there was a line and many customers acted like they’ve been there before. I had a root beer ice cream soda and my wife got a dish with 2 scoops. Both were delicious, with real chunks of fruit.
