What a great place! Located on the bottom level of an old and occupied apartment building. The vibe is 60’s retro and we loved it! Grace, our server was fantastic and knowledgeable. The food was so delicious and the twice cooked wings were some of the best we had the flavor and the sauces were outstanding! My partner got the classic cheeseburger and he said it was great, and I got the taco-ritto which had cheese, ground beef and Fritos in it, and it was delectable! This will be our new staple for when we are on the west side of the state! Cheers!

5 stars all around. This place has such a good vibe to it, it feels like you’re stepping back in time. Very chill & comfortable. The staff were great & friendly. Drinks were well made & food was so good. I definitely recommend trying the apple butter Brie dip, walking taco-rito & the olive burger. Will be returning 🙂

What a fun find for us although it opened just before covid and has been there for approximately 8 years. Luckily it made it through those hard times. The atmosphere is a little dark and seventies moody feel. Also, feels a little speakeasy. It sits hidden on the corner of a large old brick apartment complex.
We were there for brunch served on Saturday and Sunday. We had bloody Mary’s to start. Definitely a nostalgic skewer with cheese, olive cocktail weeny and pickle. I had there breakfast sandwich with their homemade chicken sausage as well as their homemade buttermilk pancake. It came with butterscotch syrup, yum,. Jesse had a breakfast burrito both came with tatter tots. All was delicious and freshly made. Amy was our server and also the co-owner. She was delightful to talk to. We will definitely go back with friends at night for cocktails and hang in the retro vibe. It felt like one of the neighborhood places you would find in New York or Chicago. You know that secrete place that only those that know know.

Cocktails are great & personally I like their Brunch menu better than the regular one. Service is sometimes not that quick but overall it’s a hit or miss. I do love the atmosphere and the vibe.

Good food. Hard to find, but worth it.
– Commons Cheeseburger – $16: A high quality thick and juicy patty cooked to medium or so. The bun was good and held the whole thing together well. The white american cheese was a different direction than I usually go with a more serious and commanding taste, but it played the concert well with the rest of the tastes, especially with the caramelized onion and dijon aioli. The aioli was a sweet compliment and alteration to the flavor that brought it back enough to enjoy the commanding flavors.
– Fries (comes with the burger): Shoestring fries (or almost), my favorite type of cut. These were a little light on the salt. I did not add salt because it wasn’t that bad. They were cooked to perfection, but lighter color. They were wonderful overall for sure. It was about a standard portion of fries.
The price was a bit on the expensive side, but I think it was mostly justified. The presentation of the food was of a cheap diner, but the flavors were quality for sure.
– Service: Good and positive. The burger arrived quickly. Almost no one gets the same water glass and you get a pitcher of water so you don’t have to wait for refills.
– Atmosphere: It was a rough cut place, but cozy. Medium to loud music which made conversation difficult, but not impossible.. Tables and chairs, booths, bar seating, and more. There were games sitting out available to play and couches with coffee tables. The table we were seated at was tiny and high, but almost no seat or table matched the others. Everything was unique. It didn’t feel disorganized, but intentional. Also, the bathrooms had candy in a dish. I don’t remember seeing that anywhere else so that was cool.
– Conclusion: The food was fantastic, but the experience was a mixed bag that was mostly okay. If you are eccentric, you’ll love this place.

This was our first time visiting. We are giving a 5/5 because there was honestly nothing to complain about. Our waiter was great, host was amazing and always looked available to help. We both ate all of our food. We both settled for handhelds, mine was GREAT! Not a fan of the fries, I would get the totes next time. I love the chairs and entire aesthetic. A+ experience for those with allergies. The chef came out and gave me his time with explaining things that were safe for me and things that weren’t. He knew all of the ingredients in everything and helped me piece together a nice meal! It’s rare to find something so accommodating. I felt very safe eating here!

Stopped in here here at 4:30pm on a Saturday in between a Broadway Grand Rapids show and a Laugh Fest comedy show. It wasn’t busy at the time so we got right in and seated without waiting. This place is a 70s style themed restaurant, with all the classic 1979s decor located in the bottom floor of an apartment building. The only thing I felt was missing was a cloud of cigarette smoke lingering above everyone in the dining room – thank God those days are long gone! We had a party of 4. Ordered the loaded tots and crab Rangoon dip as appetizers – both were fantastic. Two people in my party ordered the meatloaf dinner, one had the Ruben and one had the cheeseburger. Everything tasted good and was served hot and fresh. I can’t say I was completely wow’d by the menu, as they don’t really have anything that sets them apart from elsewhere that I noticed. But it’s definitely worth a try. We will keep the place in mind next time we want a low key lunch.

It’s a very interesting restaurant. It’s kinda tucked away in a large building but once you’re inside, it’s hidden gem.
When first walking in, you’ll find plenty of seating and a bar. The dark-office/bar ambiance really sets the mood to the place.
The hostess/host staff are very friendly and will make you feeling welcome. The decor also invites a nice atmosphere that draws you in.
Now the food…the food is great. The straight cut fries are very well made and ours was extra crispy like. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich has a nice sweetness to it with a light kick. The fish and chips are very reminiscent to a corn dog but very good too. The appetizers are generous and could be a full meal themselves.
This place is a great place to socialize with your friends or a nice date night.
