Service was pretty good! The server was friendly and there was minimal wait time for the food to come out. Pricing was very affordable.
We had the Shrimp Spring Rolls as an appetizer. While the item came out fresh, the sauce was a bit questionable as it was a little congealed.
For the entree, we stuck with the Combination Pho. No major complaints except that it was just very average.
Overall, not a bad experience but we’ve had much better Vietnamese food elsewhere in the Katy area.
The restaurant seems like it is family operated with limited staff, so you may have to wait a few extra minutes on occasions to order or receive your food, but it’s all worth the wait. Many customers were picking up their call in orders, so they knew what the business was.
The Pho broth is hot and has a nice deep flavor to it. It’s not overly salty or sweet and has a perfect balance of savory flavors. The noodle to broth ratio is good, and last but not least, the meat is tender and delicious. The worst thing is trying to bite through meat gristle and fat while trying to enjoy your Pho, but this restaurant knows how to prepare and provide high-quality meats. The Vietnamese egg rolls were also on point, nice and crispy with good flavor.
They have many regular customers from what we could see, and they’ve just made a new frequent diner. I haven’t tried any of the other dishes on the menu besides the Pho, but we’ll definitely be back to give the other dishes a shot!
I ordered a pho with beef. The produce that they packed seemed to be on its last leg and the broth was very murky and not clear.
Overall, not my top choice for when I have a pho craving.
I lived down the street from this spot and fell in love with the at home sorta hole in wall experience. It is on the smaller size in terms of space but you can have a party of 4-6 and find seating if it isn’t too busy. Also you walk to the counter when you’re done and ready to pay.
My typical order which I got this time consisted of shrimp spring rolls, #.406 beef pho with eye round and meatballs, and a pork bahnmi. I cannot praise the the bahn mi enough! I didn’t remember how much it slaps (taste like paradise). I really enjoyed reliving old memories here. All the food was great! Peanut sauce was also superb!
Give this little business some love and enjoy some good Viet food.
