The food was good. We came during the lunch rush and the wait was too long. It’s not a very big restaurant, so the space is tight. Overall a pleasant dining experience, will eat here again.

Thursday lunch plates are what keep me coming back here. It’s a full meal for a really great price. The steaks used to be a highlight as well but since they’ve changed cuts, I no longer come here for those. I would suggest calling ahead even if it’s a lunch plate to-go. Sometimes there can be an excessive wait such as today.

Dixie Castle in Jackson has been our favorite for years. Best steaks ever! They cut their steaks by hand everyday. Our family loves to go for steaks on Friday or Saturday nights. I recommend the filet! Ribeyes are so good also. The filet melts in your mouth. I always have a side salad too which is actually a full size salad. (You won’t find warm homemade banana pudding like theirs).
