Modern interior at the kitchen. Plenty of guests were there upon our arrival, which was around 17h00. Both the appetizer and the main dishes had nice appearance and great taste, although it took a bit longer to have them on the table, worth waiting anyway. The waiter had a good smile, as a plus.

The service and food were great overall. I didn’t like everything I tried but it was all fresh and well presented. The dessert was the highlight. The lighting was a little too dim for my preference and the temperature was a little too cool. The decor is nice and the background noise was minimal. The crabby mushroom was really tasty. I had the Oceans 11 Signature roll too and it was quite good though not as flavorful as expected and the spicy side salad had more heat than flavor. The server was attentive without being intrusive. There are a few non alcoholic cocktails on the menu and the mango peach fizz was really nice. I will probably return.

We’ve been to many Sushi establishments over the years in Michigan and as we’ve traveled abroad. The experience was just ok.. I felt the food was overpriced for the quantity. Quality was good and tasted fresh. However, spending $50 for the two of us and leaving almost still hungry was a disappointment. The service was just ok. Had to leave the table and ask for a refill on our waters. I saw a water girl walking around serving other tables and not ours. The HVAC system was blowing cold air on our table one minute (we put our coats on) then moments later it was comfortable then cold again. Will we go back? We’ll probably hit another restaurant.

Maru Sushi & Grill is an upscale restaurant. I would recommend making reservations on the weekends. The atmosphere and ambiance did not facilitate a romantic dinner conversation sadly. My date and I were also disappointed in our hostesses disposition, it was that of a teenage brat if you will. She expressed this after our lack of reservations was conveyed. The food was exceptional, Our waitress was exceptional. Despite the loud fun going people around us we had good conversation mostly to mock the fact that the table our waitress guarenteed was reserved next to us that we requested to sit at actually was empty throughout the entire meal. I will return to Maru Sushi & Grill, and recomend you to follow suit. Treat those of us in a way you would receive openly from them in return. Live your dream.

This is one of my favorite sushi spots. The staff is always very kind and the atmosphere is nice. They also have pretty good options for vegetarian people.
The Nirvana signature roll is insanely good and very filling – definitely my favorite roll!

So Good! We have been enjoying sushi for decades and this was one of the best we’ve been too. Brought our son here to celebrate his 19th birthday. Enjoyed great appetizers and sushi. The happy hour specials are amazing (M-F 2:30-5:30, S&S 11:30-3:30)! The Firecracker Shrimp and Fried Tofu were delicious! Loved the Crouching Tiger Roll. Definitely recommend.

Megan, our tried and trusty server helped me adjust the patio table so that I was at a shaded table, albeit not the one the umbrella was stationed at.
We had the patio to ourselves for the hour and half we savoured our wine selection and grazed upon a lovely list of half priced happy hour appetizers and specially priced menu items.
It was wonderful.
