This is our 6th year celebrating our anniversary and we always come here and that is because the staff is amazing the food is always good and the view is unmatched! They even make the kids feel special by making them their own pizza (not on the menu) and their own fruit cups!

A group of eight family members from PA, OH and WV, including myself, met there for a Saturday lunch. It was wonderful! We ordered two appetizer trays, one with flavored butters, bread and crackers. The butters were amazing! I need recipes! The other tray had delicious cheeses, different meats and crackers. It was more than enough for all of us. Everyone ordered cheeseburgers with house made chips. The burgers were cooked to perfection and generously garnished with fresh greens.
The weather was perfect so we were able to dine outside. The view of the park and gardens was beautiful. Our waitress was very attentive bringing refills of drinks right on time.
This was everyones first trip there. It wont be our last! I have to come back for more of that butter!

Great date eatery with beautiful views and delicious food. Top picks of what to eat include the Bistro Burger and the Grilled Petite Fillet Mignon. Yes, splurge! The time from ordering your food to it arriving at your table may be a little slow at high times. But relax and enjoy the views and your company.

My mom and I had lunch at Garden Cafe yesterday. Lovely outdoor seating, and our server was very nice. We ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich and the daily quiche, and planned to split and share our lunches. The bagel sandwich was good, but the tiny sliver of quiche was burnt. I have never had such a small burnt slice of quiche – I almost couldn’t see it on the plate, which was filled with salad. The server stopped by to see if we needed anything, and I explained that the quiche wasn’t really edible. She noted that it did look much smaller than their normal serving size. She asked if I wanted another, which would take 15-20 minutes, and I said no, we were almost finished eating. She said she could wrap a new quiche to go, okay that’s fine. Well, the second sliver of quiche was also burnt and just as small. We saw other lunches that looked very good, so if you go to the cafe, do NOT order the quiche! Disappointed, and for the price, felt kind of ripped off.

Wait staff was rude no matter if you had a reservation or not. I understand it was the last day of the season, but come on…… there is nothing anywhere stating that someone would be with you shortly or anything. We walked into the resturant and was told we had to wait a minute. Someone did come up to us and show us to our table. No one smiled, joked, laughed or anything. We then watched all of the staff be rude to others coming in also. For such a nice place, the people were not nice, friendly or polite. It was a disappointment to be honest. We are chalking it up to an experience and walking away.

We enjoyed several dishes including the flatbread of the day, BLT salad, crab cake, and shrimp & grits. I think the greens and veggies were picked fresh for our dishes – just perfect. The shrimp & grits is one of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere. The view from the terrace is lovely. Highly recommend this fantastic restaurant.

Their menu features regionally sourced produce, free-range chicken + eggs, grass-fed beef, and handcrafted bread. One of the most impressive things about Oglebay is that it isn’t hard to find vegetarian-friendly food, including this delicious Garden Bistro Sandwich. I usually pass up dessert, but I couldn’t resist their Turtle Domes. So scrumptious! Not a vegetarian? I have heard that their vichyssoise is really good!

We were very impressed with our beautiful dinner overlooking the gardens of Oglebay! We chose this place for our 19 year wedding anniversary dinner with our children. Debbie was our waitress and she was exceptionally wonderful! She made sure every detail was perfect down to what we had a drink or appetizer and our main course she even made accommodations for the kids. She made sure everybody had a wonderful time and we had this beautiful picture to remember our special night!!!

Want to get a takeout order? Nope. Inside is completely empty but insisting they’re booked solid this evening. At least 3’empty tables outside. What if folks don’t show? Can someone take that table? Staff says management told them no go. Wouldn’t try to eat here again if you paid me and, looking at the reviews, it seems I was right. Can’t believe they’re told to turn down business.

Great view of the Oglebay gardens and amphitheatre. Our waitress was great but the host that seated us had literally no expression in his tone or on his face the entire 2 hours we were there. My friend and I got an Asian inspired salmon sandwich with house chips. Her companion had the burger and potato pancake and her son had sea scallops. All the food was fantastic.
