This restaurant offers a variety of Mexican plates besides tamales. The menu also kid friendly and offers seafood dishes as well. We drank coffee, and ate breakfast and it was delicious. The service was quick and our server was friendly and attentive.

Just tried this place for the first time after seeing it on a friends Facebook page. I tried the Carne en su jugo and it was amazing. So much flavor. It’s a cool little spot and I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu

Don Misael in Lyons is one of those places that never disappoints. The food is always fresh, well-seasoned, and authentic. The tamales are some of the best I’ve had — soft, tasty, and made just right- very close to my mom’s. I had the green chilaquiles with eggs and steak, which were excellent.

The service is friendly and quick, and the place is clean and comfortable. You can tell they care about what they’re doing.

the food is good. we did have one red tamal that was so doughy that didnt seemed cooked, very slimey like raw dough??? the strawberry tamal wasnt good to me either, seemed too oily. the green and rajas con queso was so so good though! the horchata was good. the service was not. i think she was new. she didnt hear me or maybe understand that i wanted the tamal dinner and she thought i wanted 3 of each, then didnt know how to enter that in the register and had someone else do it for her. i understand if shes new but it was just awkward. i think if we come back we would eat there in case the dough isn’t cooked again and give them another chance

Warning!. First time here. Highly recommend the menudo. Only 3 stars because they only give you 3 tortillas. They are home made. But an extra order will cost you $2.50. even if you ask for store night tortillas. They only give you 3 and the price is the same. The menudo was a generous portion. Bit will only 3 tortillas the got you! They figured out the micro exchange. Suggest ordering the menudo to go and get your own tortillas.
Also. I actually loved the tables. But they are bolted to the floor and a bit small for 4 adults. But a good place for large groups. The service at the time of this posting was lacking. The main area is started by a counter that has pamphlets and posters and shelves that makes it hard to get the attention of the server. The menudo was still worth it, but highly recommend you take it to go.

Coffee is good. Food is mediocre. But the service is absolutely horrible. The servers seem to be in a horrible mood and you have to practically beg for them to get your order taken. And when they finally come the attitudes are bad. Yet they are all happy laughing in the cooking area.

Delicious food, tamales, tacos, tortas, pupusas. Their tortillas are homemade and you can taste the difference. Service is good, there is a small seating area because most people carry out, during rush hours there can be a wait

This place has authentic handmade tortillas and Mexican cafe de olla!! Chips and salsa are also great. We tried the huevos rancheros and chilaquiles with eggs from the breakfast menu, and also ordered one quesadilla and one tamal with mole. Everything was exquisite, although chilaquiles were way too spicy. Portions are very large, for instance, the quesadilla is maybe the size of two tortillas.
The service was very slow. However, the waitress, Sully, had a positive attitude and was very friendly, even though the place was crowded.
In general, the place/atmosphere is nothing fancy but the food is worth trying. We would be back some time!
