First time trying this bbq spot…I would say it was just ok. The bbq was drenched in sauce we had the pork and beef rib plates. The sides could use some seasoning. The location is on the westside(nobody going to bother you..just mind your business) of Montgomery. I think the bbq was cooked quick and the heat was to high. The sauce need to be cut back so you can taste the flavor of the meat or put on the side.

The ribs were delicious!!! this place has the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever tasted. I would buy a batch of the sauce alone. The service was good and I didn’t have a long wait time even though they were experiencing lunch rush. I even met a few people who recommended different options for my next visit.

Potato salad & baked beans is also good. I haven’t found any establishments that cooks beef ribs in Montgomery AL

For starters, I completely understand the walk up shack style eatery, but I did dock one star solely on the lack of not having anywhere inside or outside to sit and eat. It’s perfect for picking up an order to take home. The other star from making this a perfect 5, and I never thought I’d ever say this, but it’s entirely too heavy on the sauce. The original smoke and seasoning flavors are lost in the extremely wet pulled pork and ribs. However, the taste is still great. I would definitely return. This place has been serving the community for over 50yrs and for damn good reason.

First time visiting, the food was delicious. Its located in the hood, but thats where the best food is The ribs were seasoned good, tender. I got the rib sandwich, about 5 nice sized bones and french fries. I had been craving ribs and this did not disappoint. I will definitely go back.

The barbecue here blows anything else in town out of the water. There isn’t a place on-site to eat said barbecue, but if you’re okay with that, I would highly recommend a visit. Attached is a picture of the beef rib plate I ordered.

I ordered the chicken plate with baked beans and coleslaw. It came with two slices of bread as well. The coleslaw is creamy, not vinegar based and was fantastic. I’d actually go back just for the coleslaw but the chicken was just as amazing.
A couple of the other folks in line offered us recommendations after hearing us say we were from out of town and had found this place on Google Maps.
This little place is cash only as well as takeaway only, so be sure you bring your wallet and have a place to nosh. 10/10 will visit again next time I’m passing through.

Loved the food! Friendly service too! Easy parking for hassle free pick up! Food was good and warm ❤️ meat was fresh, sides were good. Really recommend this local spot! You can tell the food was fresh! The people that helped us were kind and helpful! The flavor was unique I am a fan of bbq and travel all over the south this place is great! Simple and easy menu with everything you would expect. We will be back to try more items soon.
