This has to be the best food that I’ve had this entire year. The staff is phenomenal. The cooks are on point and the food is absolutely amazing. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but it’s nice and spacious inside. Very clean. Well decorated, It even had two nice TVs So we were able to watch the game! I came all the way from Atlanta to try this place because a good friend of mine who lives In Charlotte recommended. We both enjoyed the fish fried okra and the chicken. The portions were huge. We couldn’t eat it all so we ended up taking some on our road trip, which made our trip fun.

I came across a review on reels that gave this place a solid review. As the chicken sandwich connoisseur I had to try it out for myself. Unfortunately it is an average chicken sandwich, slightly better than a Chick-fil-A but at a premium price. But if you live nearby give them a try maybe you’ll enjoy it.

This was my first time going here and as you walk in, you are greeted immediately. The cashier was very patient and informative. I ordered gizzards and the tender basket, which was the special for today. Everything is made to order and you can flavor just about everything. It took some time for it to be prepared, in which I appreciated, because everything was piping hot! Go and try them out!!

I’ve been here a few times since moving to York. I love their chicken drumettes! I usually order mild, and they definitely have a kick, so if you don’t handle spice well I wouldn’t recommend the Helen’s Hot. My boyfriend loves spicy food and even he couldn’t handle those lol. I also love that they serve light bread with the wings, that’s my favorite combo. The fried okra is great too. The food is always well-seasoned and fresh!

My coworker recommended this place and we finally tried it. Wow.. this is not disappoint. We ordered 3 chicken tenders, catfish sandwich, chicken and waffles, and 8 shrimp combo (honey hot). Total was $54 and all meals came with drinks (I think). Service does take about 20 minutes but we didn’t mind since it was a Sunday. Everything was delicious and the tenders and shrimp were probably the best we’ve had in Charlotte. We will be back! Thank you!

We wanted something different so we dropped in for mild wings and we’re completely wow’d! We got the wing special: 8 wings & fries for $8.99. They have several flavors. We got the lemon pepper mild wings. The flavor was spot on…the hint of spice and the tangy lemon zest was perfect! I also had the fried okra that had a tasty batter too! #Winner!

Helen’s Hot Chicken & Seafood Rock Hill is the place to be. This restaurant is amazing, and the food, service, and ambience are A-1. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you are warmly welcomed by Helen and her staff. They are very friendly, kind, courteous, and helpful. My wife, son, and I had a great time during our visit. We ordered the Chicken Breast Sandwich Combo (Mild, Excellent!), Helen’s Famous Catfish (Excellent!), and the Wingette Combo (8) (Excellent!).
The food was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the background music while our food was being meticulously prepared. Helen was very engaging with my family and other customers, making sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed while the food was being prepared. She is an outstanding owner and detail-oriented when the food is ready for pickup. Thank you, Helen, so much for the wonderful experience. My family and I enjoyed every moment. We will definitely be back. 10-Stars!!!

Helen’s Hot Chicken in Rock Hill is hands-down some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. The breading is perfectly crispy, the chicken is juicy all the way through, and the seasoning is spot on. I went with the medium heat, and it had just the right amount of kick without overpowering the flavor.
If you like Nashville-style hot chicken or just love bold flavors, Helen’s is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back (and maybe brave the “Hella Hot” next time).

When you reach the location and step out of your vehicle you hear the ventilation system working as it should. You smell fresh oil and cooking going on. Open the door and the friendly staff greets you with a warm ” “Welcome to Helen’s Hot”. Take a look around to a classic atmosphere. With all the cooking going you never smell food. (The system is doing its job). From the cashier to the back kitchen this place runs like a well oiled machine. Place your oder and prepare for a great experience. Food comes out smelling fresh and looking amazing ^as seen in pictures. Simply put the food is awesome.
