I just now had to walk out of this place. The customer service and work ethics here is an abomination. Filled with mostly young workers, their customer service leaves much to desire. I ordered the $9.99 combo meal, which was 1 meat+2 veggies and bread. The young girl who was serving me, started out with a whole attitude for no reason and when I asked her about the combo deal for clarification, because she kept asking me what other meat option do I want. She put my plate to the side and asked the next person what they wanted, which so happened to be my husband. He pointed to an item and asked what the covered item was and she rudely and loudly said, “don’t touch the glass!”. I asked for the supervisor and surprise surprise, she was standing right there. She asked me what happened and I asked her if she did not see how her employee was behaving and how she ignored my questions, put my plate aside like like she couldn’t be bothered and shouted at my husband. Just extremely rude. My husband decided not to spend our hard earned money here and we walked out. You don’t have to accept rudeness and direspect from anyone serving you, especially when spending your hard earned money. They need to be trained in good customer service. Gross behavior.

The ladies at Fried Green Tomatoes have created a place to get great southern cuisine that tastes just like grandma used to make.
Pros: The food and customer service are great! I couldn’t find anything on the menu I didn’t enjoy. Service was always with a smile and joyful in every way. While the restaurant itself is a little dated (patina is what I call it), it also felt like what a small family restaurant should feel like… welcoming and comfortable. The food service preparation areas were clean and well maintained.
Cons: I don’t live close enough to Fried Green Tomatoes to frequent this establishment.
Bottom line… Fried Green Tomatoes is a fantastic place to eat some good, southern food at reasonable prices. You won’t be disappointed!

I *highly* recommend the breakfast. I just tried for the first time, and it won’t be the last. … The dinners are good. I’ve never had anything bad even though sometimes it’s fresher than others. Still good, and i still recommend. … Seating is limited.

My apologies for not being specific with a plate. As soon as my family and I sat down after a long drive, we started to eat. The pictures show macaroni and cheese, cabbages, fried green tomatoes , fried wings, baked chicken, and chicken livers. I also enjoyed the peach cobbler not shown. The ladies are very courteous, and the portions are good.

I rarely give reviews…. I guess ownership has changed. I asked for collards to go, I was asked if I wanted full or half pan. I was shown a fairly small pan and told $12.99, I agreed and after I was rung up and about to pay the owners daughter made a call to make sure cost was correct. I was then told $40!!!!! I’ve bought this pan in the past for about $14.00.
I then just asked for 2 side orders instead (very skimpy compared to past owners) doesn’t even look like a full side order, it bothered me so I called the centerville store and asked the cost of the pan I was shown, she said $12.99 but let me know she no longer owns the Russell location. I will not be back, that’s ridiculous! I will travel across town to the Centerville location next time I want collards.

Very respectful and friendly staff. Each day the menu changes and you are given multiple options to chose from. Food is always fresh and ordering, even when there is a line, good quickly.

Probably the nicest people and the worst fried chicken since people learned to boil oil. Cheese Grits were absolutely without flavor. The collards were good and that was all. I waited 49 minutes in line hoping. Probably just old food.
