I ordered the lemon shrimp pasta with oregano and it was absolutely tasteless. I could have easily made it better myself at home. There was no oregano on it and our server gave us salt and pepper probably because she already knew it had no seasoning and wasn’t prepared the way it was supposed to be. Very overpriced for the quality or lack thereof that you get. Our server was nice though and the atmosphere was great.

The jambalaya that I ordered might be the worst I’ve ever eaten. Never seen a jambalaya sooo watery and tasteless to thr point of uneatable. The thin crusted pizza is so pale looks like its sick.
They put us in the yard since we don’t have reservations the table is wobbly and many flies, spiders visited us. While the other tables have table clothes, spinning straps to repel the flies, ours don’t.
Because we didn’t order expensive alcohol, the waitress showed us we were not the worthy customers.

So very disappointing. I had been hyping up the chicken flatbread sandwich, only to find they changed it up along with the fries. It was bland. Not good. My bf got the lemon oregano chicken and it also was terribly bland. We sat for a while with no server. When we did get one, we weren’t offered the drink menu so had to just pick something. I had to ask for the bread they have always just brought to the table in the past. Drinks went unfilled and just wasn’t worth the money or fighting the cold for a date night out. I have no issues with paying higher pricing for a delicious meal with great service and an inviting atmosphere but sadly Max’s isn’t on my list of must haves now. Dining in Paducah is so hit or miss anyway but to spend a nice chunk of change and go away with a bad taste in your mouth, both figuratively and literally, isn’t a good feeling.

I had the Philly cheesesteak it was pretty good. My date had some kind of pasta with chicken which tasted pretty decent but as apposed to just having nice pieces of chicken, they had tiny little cubes of chicken that where barely visible. Do Beter yall.
Server was great

Great food and atmosphere! Portion sizing was great! The ingredients tasted very fresh, and service is fast! Our waitress, Maddy was very kind and friendly. Would definitely come back if I wasn’t passing on through.

Going to have to give them another try because our experience tonight wasn’t great. Most of the food was very good but unfortunately the chicken sandwich was very charred. The steak, margarita pizza, chicken pizza, cheesecake and crème brûlée were all delicious. We were not informed when we made the reservation that we would be sitting outside. (Temps in the 20’s tonight)
We were very cold even with the heaters and keeping our coats on throughout the two hours it took to complete the meal. We were sat at 7:00 and given bread at 7:40… entrees at 8:10 and desserts at 8:40… we couldn’t feel our toes by the end. The evening was ruined by a rowdy group that were drinking and screaming their conversations. The wait staff handled themselves well but a manager should have stepped in because about five other parties couldn’t even hear to have conversations at their own tables. Hopefully on our next visit we will be indoors and have a better experience.

A very nice place to have dinner! The prices are on the higher side but they do make sense for a nicer restaurant. With it being a weekday we didnt have to have reservations but we made them anyway. With that being said, we arrived an hour early and they still seated us. We did not anticipate our schedule that day being so crazy but they accommodated our time change just fine. Fantastic drinks, delicious food, wonderful service.

To start off- the hostess was very friendly and prompt. Our server was also very friendly and provided great service. The best thing I had during my meal was the glass of wine. My partner and I ordered the chicken pizza as starter- then I had the gorgonzola chicken and him the lasagna.
To start with the pizza- the crust was chewy and flavorless, it tasted like a pre-made store bought crust. The sauce was very sweet, although that is my personal preference that I do not like a sweet tomato sauce. The cheese tasted like good quality mozzarella and fontina- it had nice flavor. The chicken itself was bland and tough. The pancetta brought some flavor to the pizza but few crumbles were not enough to save it. This was the most disappointing part of our meal considering the restaurants name- we were very much looking forward to a homemade brick oven pizza.
The lasagna was alright. In taste I would compare it to Marie Callender’s brand lasagna. It had that very sweet tomato sauce but again the cheese was nice. The pasta itself was fine but overcooked. It came with lightly dressed mixed greens which was a very nice touch visually and flavor wise.
The gorgonzola chicken pasta left a lot to be desired. The chicken was the same that came on the pizza, that is, the few small cubed chunks I could even find. The sauce was very creamy which was enjoyable but the whole dish tasted one note. The mushrooms added a good texture to break up the monotony of the dish and fresh basil on top added the brightness it desperately needed. I would say I enjoyed the first few bites that had the few mushrooms, crumbled gorgonzola, and basil but once you exhaust those resources it’s just bland cream sauce and chewy chicken pasta.
I wouldn’t by any means say it was a bad meal, just not worth the price.

Food was amazing, definitely get the Brick Oven Brie appetizer it was delicious, I went for Italian Sausage Pizza didn’t disappoint I’m only giving a 3 on Atmosphere bc it was really loud tables are too close and if you are expecting to have a conversation you will have to yell at each other to communicate. We sat at the roofed patio and it was packed. Nice decorations tho.
Our waitress did a great job keeping attention to our needs.

Best meal I have had in a very long time. My husband and I walked in at about 8pm on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. The indoor seating was empty! We had the place to ourselves, but it did sound like the patio area was busy. The vibes inside were perfect, playing into the historic charm of the building/space. Very cozy and warm. We shared the smoked salmon dip for an appetizer, I had the Greek chicken and my husband ordered the crab cakes. We finished off by sharing the soufflé cheesecake. I cannot express how perfect every bite was. Granted I was road weary and my only meal of the day had been Waffle House, but I digress…. The salmon dip was light and refreshing, my Greek chicken was so tender I could cut it with my fork, and the flavor combinations of the dish were perfection. My husband said the crab cakes were so good he could’ve eaten 6 of them! The cheesecake…. My mother is Italian so I know cheesecake, and that was TO DIE FOR. Our server and experience with the staff was pleasant, prompt, and gave excellent attention without being overbearing. If I could bring this experience home with me to South Dakota, I would eat there every weekend.
