Third time eating at the establishment and will probably be my last.
First time I tried the wings, they are dry. Almost as if they are double cooked.
Second time went for dinner one evening and had the pork belly and a cheese steak sandwich. The pork belly looked like it had been deep fried for way too long. At least the sauce they give with the pork belly is pretty good, so it masked the dryness. The cheese steak sandwich was actually pretty good though. Nice thick steak that was hot and juicy.
And lastly, since I hadn’t tried the burger yet I figured I would try the signature Tipsy Bull Burger. I was very disappointed. At over $18 , with fries, I feel like I was kinda robbed. The burger was about the size of a hockey puck and dry as hell.
Oh yeah, the french fries potential but the are always soggy.
The staff are friendly, but slow as molasses.

Great atmosphere and welcoming vibe! The space feels comfortable and energetic at the same time. The drinks were well-made (I got a special made Peach Lemon Drop Martini and it was amazing!!!), and they food specials like $1 wings certain nights.
They also host game nights and events, and it looks like a fun spot for private parties or group gatherings. Definitely a solid addition to Durham’s sports bar scene — I’ll be back!

I love it here! The food is always top tier, fresh and yummy. Service at the bar is quick and personable. I love a good cocktail. The vibes are good for a night out with family/friends and an also game day. Huge screens are perfect for game viewing. It’s a no brainer, stop in for a great drink, bite to eat or schedule your next event here! There is literally something for everyone.

My favorite items are the wings, long beans and the salmon philly.

The food was good but I would skip the dry rub wings next time and maybe just go with a sandwich. The fries were a bit off and over cooked too. But, overall good and a good option for food with a beer from high wire if you’re not in the mood for pizza. Plus, of was fun to try a pineapple ginger Jamaica sof drink 🙂

I had the bulgogi chicken sandwich and that was the best thing ever happened to me in a while. The right amount of sauce and just juice chicken! The way they made their fries was also great! The wings were very mediocre, however. The vibe was great so I was very surprised that the place was not busy at all on a Friday evening.

I recently visited Fifty91 in Durham, hoping to finally try their chicken bulgogi sandwich, which had been on my list for a while. I placed my order at 1:19 p.m. on a Saturday, and the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. Soon after, more people trickled in, including a table of four who arrived after I had ordered.

Around 1:41 p.m., I noticed that a single chicken bulgogi sandwich came out of the kitchen—the only food that had been prepared for dine-in customers during that time—and was brought directly to the table of four. I had a feeling it might have been my order since their food didn’t come out together, but I decided to wait a bit longer, assuming it would be sorted out soon.

By 2:00 p.m., after waiting almost 40 minutes with no food, I asked the server to check on my order and those of other dine-in customers. Instead of going back to the kitchen to check on orders, she continued taking new orders, making coffees, and filling beer pints for new guests. It felt like dine-in orders weren’t being prioritized, and it was frustrating to see other tasks take precedence when several of us had been waiting a long time for food.

Finally, I asked for a refund because my order still hadn’t been prepared, and my patience had run out. This was my first visit to Fifty91, and I had been looking forward to trying that sandwich, so it was pretty disappointing to walk away with a bad first impression instead.

I love this place. The food is great (I especially love the wings), and it’s a friendly and chill hang with attentive service.

Also, note that there’s been some turnover at this location over the last couple years and some of the Google reviews seem to be for the previous place that was here.

Great service and location!! The fries are absolutely incredible. They’re like a hybrid steak x curly fry with amazing seasoning. I’ve been here twice for the wings and I’ll definitely be returning. 10/10 recommend

We were excited to try this place out since it was next door to Hi-Wire. This place has potential but the staff seemed clueless on the bars offerings. There seems to be some confusion there. Hope this place gets better!
