Cute space, kind of place you want to show off to your friends. Highly recommend!
The little wine store is a standout, showcasing a thoughtful selection that complements their focus on quality and health. The menu strikes a perfect balance of flavorful and genuinely health-conscious dishes. I’ve been consistently impressed by the incorporation of nutrient-rich ingredients like shiitake mushrooms, seeds, and beautifully crafted home-fermented vegetables. Plus, they don’t use seed oils, which is a rare and appreciated touch.
Their café is a delightful addition, where every detail is carefully considered. The daily pastries—both savory and sweet—are always a treat, and their herbal teas are beautifully crafted. The meze plate and the kimchi biscuit are personal favorites—absolutely delicious and not to be missed.
The atmosphere is equally special, whether you’re enjoying a meal inside, on the charming patio, or at the sidewalk seating. It’s a perfect spot for dinner, lunch, or simply to soak in the vibe while savoring their offerings. The music selection is always on point, adding to the overall experience.
Botanica also features a small épicerie stocked with high-quality olive oils, coffee beans, crackers, and all the essentials for a perfect aperitif with friends. It’s a thoughtfully curated space that’s hard to resist.
This location holds a special place in my heart, as I remember when it was a liquor store 12 years ago, back when I lived just across the street. It’s been wonderful to see it evolve into such a vibrant and welcoming spot. I’m also eagerly looking forward to the opening of their new tapas restaurant, Siesta, just a block away on Cedric Boulevard—I have no doubt it will be another fantastic addition.
Botanica is a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. It’s truly a treasure!
The menu is vibrant, produce-forward, and always evolving. Their mezze spreads are a must — bursting with fresh herbs, spice, and texture. The lamb meatballs and shakshuka are perfectly seasoned and deeply satisfying. But the unexpected star? Their vegetable sides. Botanica has the rare ability to make a simple beet or squash feel luxurious.
The drinks are just as thoughtful. The wine list leans natural and biodynamic, with plenty of great picks by the glass. And don’t skip the non-alcoholic options — the house-made tonics and juices are surprisingly addictive.
The ambiance is light and airy, with an indoor-outdoor feel that fits Silver Lake perfectly. You’ll likely find writers with laptops in the morning and couples sharing rosé by sunset.
Bonus: Their little market sells a curated selection of sauces, wines, pantry goods, and local finds — perfect if you want to bring a bit of Botanica home with you.
This is the kind of place that feeds you well and makes you feel even better.
