Wish I could give more stars! The food and customer service were outstanding. We came in with a fairly large group, yet the attentiveness and attention to detail made it feel like we were a much smaller party. The food was absolutely amazing, and we were even checked on to ensure everyone was enjoying their meals, any concerns were addressed immediately. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever experienced this level of customer service. Such a great experience overall. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Our hiking community Purpose Driven Hikers out of Charlotte,NC ate here today as our post hike lunch and Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had! The customer service was top-tier, the atmosphere was great, and the quality was outstanding. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend them to anyone! And listen the food was fresh, flavorful & delicious!!! The drinks were also on point!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Great customer service and an amazing menu with options for both omnivores and vegans. Perfect for large groups and truly accommodating. Fair prices, high quality, and food that tastes like grandma’s cooking and the music is a vibe. You gotta try it for yourself.

Side note: I don’t give out good reviews lightly. People are quick to complain and slow to praise, and gatekeeping this place would be a crime. EJ’s deserves the love.

Wife and I went for brunch today and everything was delicious. The salmon bites were cooked perfectly and the 704 sauce served with it was a great pairing. I had chicken wings and the red velvet waffle for my entree. The chicken was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. The waffle was fluffy and delicious as well. We can’t wait to bring our family to experience the place.

We had a wonderful first time at EJ’s!!! We were immediately greeted by the owner, Dara. She was so friendly and welcoming! The food was perfect! Seasoned well, cooked to perfection, hot, and fresh! The fried pickles were crispy and flavorful. The jerk chicken was juicy and had a wonderful blend of spices. The fried okra and mac and cheese were the best I’ve ever had. Dara is absolutely amazing. This is my new favorite restaurant and we will absolutely be back soon! Can’t wait to try Sunday brunch!!!

Came here with family and the staff could not have been any nicer! They were very accommodating and helped us to better understand the menu. The food was excellent – Personally I love fried food and the mac and cheese bites, the fried pickles, and the fried okra were all delicious! My husband said the three fried wings were crispy and well seasoned. We’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great service and tasty food!

Very enjoyable experience at EJ’s. Everyone there was very attentive and friendly. Collard green dip was great with very flavorful chips. Chicken wings were very well seasoned. Red beans and rice was great along with the yams and mac n cheese. Will definitely visit again. They have gained a new customer.

Celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday there. The Food was incredible. The Shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious. Brussel sprouts had a krispy exterior and fully cooked center but not mushy. Their fried flounder was perfectly cooked. Service was awesome. Will definitely be going back.

As much as so wanted to give them a better rating couldn’t lie to myself taste wise I won’t lie everything is edible not the best but not nasty for 45$ I got an oxtail plate(house special) and peach cobbler. The yams partially raw and burn not sure how you pull that off though taste wise it was ok for the cooked parts the macaroni was a little plain and almost cheese less but was edible and a sugar cookie pressed into cobbler syrup with 2 slices of peach (crazy work) the oxtails on a good note actually tasted great to me over rice but might be salty to some.

Honestly could have gave them more stars but I feel like oxtails can’t save. 50 dollar plate when I paying that much for a single meal i expect it to go above everything is an up charge here and the setting is very cluttered but if you can afford it the food did taste ok but not the best
