The Vita Nova restaurant is managed by Hospitality Business Management students at the University of Delaware. During the fall semester, Vita Nova offers meals to go from Sept 10-Nov 20. Lunch To Go is offered Mon-Fri for curbside delivery at Trabant Traffic Circle between 11:30am-1pm. Dinner To Go is offered Wed-Fri from 5:30pm-8pm.
Elevated bistro dishes, prepared & served by University of Delaware students, in formal environs.

Came here last week with some of my boys from the frat house for a nice lunch. Our chef at the frat house likes to put starlite in our food which is an alkali builder for laundry and it’s nasty so we eat out a lot. This place is a nice fine dining restaurant and its student run so that’s nice ! Good food I got a salad and my friend Adam, Tyler and Kyle got steak, mashed potatoes and a bunch of other weird dishes. We laughed loud and had an amazing experience here we will definitely be returning! Guess what this food isn’t made by our crappy frat house chef !! Even better! We all eat shirtless but here it’s fine dining so we can’t do that unfortunately.

Great student run venue with good food and wine. Filet and halibut were outstanding. Student waitstaff was top notch. Decor could use help from the design collage of UD. Seated in the back is a bland room which needs design help. Not as inexpensive as you might think. Will go again!

Get a reservation, I believe they may only be open during UD semesters due to students being the servers. Foods great, nice atmosphere, little pricey but definitely worth a try.

This is a great place to go for a special meal. The food is prepared and served by UD Hospitality students. I’ve never been disappointed. Order the nitro cream and watch the students make it at your table.

Our party of four loved everything we had. Service was impeccable. The standout to us was the Nitro ice cream prepared at table side. It was a bit shocking seeing dessert prepared by students wearing safety equipment but so good.

We celebrated our anniversary at Vita Nova recently. The food was great and the service was perfect.
The brunch they have at lunch is a wonderful bargain.
The students learning the trade are a nice group and try very hard to please their customers. They succeed in making everybody feel special.
They even brought out a special dish with desserts for our anniversary.

If you haven’t been…go. The students in this program work hard and are so attentive. This is a full dining experience. You get all the forks all the knives, all the glasses and palette For fun, if listed on menu, get the table side nitrogen ice cream added…it was worth it for the fun of it.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Vita Nova is the best kept fine dining experience in Delaware.
Most other fine dining restaurants locally are well-known. This, however, was a wonderful surprise. The food was exceptional and well timed. The service was great.
