I haven’t the words to express the profound gratitude, appreciation and support that our family has for Manolo’s!

Not only is the environment welcoming and inviting; this business stands on business when it comes to the empowerment of community inclusivity and equality.

Customer service is top notch as are all of the pastries and desserts. You can literally taste the love poured into this establishment. And the new merch is EVERYTHING!

If you haven’t visited yet, you must visit this staple in Charlotte. You don’t know what you’re missing!

I came by the bakery yesterday at the spare of the moment to get cake to feed 40 people. The young girl behind the counter is incredibly beautiful I asked her her name and I think she said Delphi. I’m not sure. She is so sweet and she helped me pick out cake. The cake was incredible and let’s just say within 5 minutes both cakes were gone. When I arrived at the bakery the parking was convenient and it smelled incredibly great in there as well as very clean and very well put together. I have been coming to this bakery since 1998. I was greeted with a smile and the young girl remembered me from last time when I came in. I needed help to carry the cakes because I don’t walk very well on my knee replacement and the young girl helped me and brought them both outside for me with a smile. I want to thank this bakery for always having fresh great items and for being the best bakery on the east side of Charlotte. I stand with this bakery 1 million percent and am a loyal customer.

One of my soul sisters brought a Tres Leches to a teacher appreciation dinner! Not only was it delicious but look how beautiful so grateful for the angel on earth that Manolo is – not just for the yummy products that he creates and sells – but for all that he does for the community, he gives so much back – more than happy to pay it forward! Our bellies thank you too ❤️

We stopped from out of town because we heard about how this business goes above and beyond in the community and they did not disappoint. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, answering all of our questions. They are so kind, they even gave us a gift for our infant son.

All of the baked goods are beautiful, it was hard to narrow down which ones we wanted to try. Everything we had was incredibly delicious. I wish we lived closer…..a couple weeks later I’m still thinking about their tres leche cake.

I had the pan de muerto and it was just so soft and delicious. The tres leche de caramelo was EVERYTHING! It was so moist and just the right amount of sweet! The pan dulce is also yummy!

But the staff is so nice and courteous. Definitely will be coming back here for my sweet treat

Manolo’s Bakery is truly a gem in Charlotte! Mickey and Manolo are absolutely amazing to work with: such kind, genuine people who care deeply about their community and customers. I love that this is a small immigrant-owned business, and I didn’t realize until recently that they are so much more than a bakery. They have an entire catering department that can make any event vision a reality. Whether you’re planning something small and simple or massive and extravagant, the team at Manolo’s will ensure everyone is well fed and happy. Highly recommend them for both everyday treats and special occasions!

This was my first visit here after my co-worker told me about them. I just had to go. All the items I had were amazing! I like that they don’t make their food overly sweet. They are balanced in that especially the coco flan and tiramisu. You can feel the family vibes and mood of caring for their business in the air. The staff is sweet as well as the owner. This place is definitely on my list to return to for baked goods and whoever is reading this should too.

I have lived in Charlotte for 20 years and am proud to be in the same neighborhood as this bakery. I have watched it grow and change over the years and have never been disappointed. From Conchas to Empanadas and fresh baked bread, I can always find a good excuse to visit.

My friend got me a Mocha cake from here for my birthday and it was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had hands down. I work at bakery myself so I can be rather picky about my sweets, but I would probably get this exact cake for all my future birthdays. The cake was spongy and insanely moist. The whipped frosting was light, airy, and not too sweet. It was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture, and the price was very reasonable for the quality. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional. I can’t wait to try more from here!

While I really respect the owner for everything he does for the East Charlotte community, the quality of the pan dulce just doesn’t justify the high ranking. Compared to the many other local spots serving soft, fresh bread, the pastries here consistently feel stale and dry.
The Conchas, in particular, lack the authentic flavor and the proper amount of sugar topping I’m used to. Since this is a Colombian bakery, it seems they excel more at what they know best, their empanadas and pandebonos are actually quite good. However, if you are looking specifically for authentic Mexican pan dulce, there are much better, fresher options nearby
