For an airport I was impressed. I had the poke bowl which was small but so delicious. My waitress was great. Only thing is I wish their tacos were corn and not a blend as I cannot eat flour tortillas. Or having gluten free bread would be nice as I would have also considered a burger

10.6.25: Decided to walk the terminal since my flight was delayed and decided to get a dessert to-go from TAPS. I was greeted and asked if I could get the Flourless Chocolate Torte to-go, which he said no problem. So I waited..and waited..and waited lol. 20+ minutes later it finally came out and thank goodness because I ended up having to half run to my gate as my flight was already boarding.

Luckily and despite the wait for this piece of decadence, I thoroughly enjoyed it while on my flight. It was pretty dense, heavy, and very chocolatey. The fresh sweet strawberries, pistachios, and sweet cream cut the richness of the chocolate and melded together in each bite. It was completely satisfying!

This place was about as 5-Star for any restaurant food I’ve ever had.

We had the blackened fish tacos, prepared without the blackening, and they were quite good.

The lox bagel was good as well. The fruit side was fresh sliced fruit, not canned.

The server was nice. The place was very clean. And a lot more comfortable place to wait than the gate.

While waiting for our flight we popped in for a final beverage and bite to eat. Excellent service, delicious food, ample choices, on-site Japanese chef for the sushi choices. Little pricy but it’s an airport so to be expected.

This is the second time for me to come out here and what compelled me to write this was what just happened today. The food was okay but not as good as the first time. I write this while I am sitting at John Wayne Airport. It took them so long to seat me that I just flagged a waitress and mentioned that I would seat myself. I got acknowledged after 8 minutes of waiting. I ordered the American Burger and a side salad but the salad never came. I told my server to not worry about the salad as I had expected it to come first as I was a bit disappointed. No apology from this either. I told my server to split the bill from the alcohol and this was not done until I told him again. The server came back with my bill and with the 20% tip already selected. I went ahead and paid and felt a bit cheated. I won’t be coming back here as I specifically came here due to the experience I had last time but next time, no way. I am flying into this aiport again next week and I won’t be stopping here as it’s too bad as they have really good burgers here but the service is absolutely terrible.

I started with the creamy beet and goat cheese salad. It was huge! It was fresh with lots of beets and goat cheese. Served with a slightly sweet poppyseed dressing!
Outstanding!
I ordered The Blackened Mahi Mahi. I was a bit confused because underneath it said shrimp and scallop enchiladas with cilantro rice topped with pineapple salsa.

It was a beautiful plate with a large scoop of cilantro rice with a few peas and carrots throughout for color and crunch.
A generous portion of perfectly blackened Mahi Mahi set on top. The fish was crisp and so moist inside. When the menu said enchiladas I wasn’t quite sure OMG delicious mouthwatering small shrimp and scallops with it a creamy pabalno sauce. It was refreshing, spicy, in a good want more kind of way:
The server Leslie was attentive, darling, quick and I was never rushed. She was just so cute!

Managers Vanessa and Marae were outstanding!

Brand new restaurant by Gate 15 in Terminal C. Good Palomas and Cadillacs. Bartender is very cool. Sushi was great.

Terrible service. The waitress took forever to come to my table, didn’t provide me a drink I asked for and took forever to bring my check while apparently giving everyone around me good service. So nice to have a shitty experience and paying top dollar before getting on a plane.
