Steadily going down hill. It will be a great place to get a beer from different regions of Europe but the food has taken a downturn. The burger options are plenty but since the recent change from the original pretzel bun to the new unimpressive buns, the best burger in town has migrated. The 75 cent wing special was a nice add on for the weekends, but the inconsistency with being able to actually order for take out is odd. One week it’s OK, the other not. The last time I ordered, the wings were raw and I got food poisoning. On top of that the wings were regular price during the Happy Hour weekend, they changed it but also messed up the quantity of the order. The order was split into two, and it was the second part of the order that led to food poisoning. I still enjoy hanging out at the bar area and grabbing a Delerium Tremens, a very rare beer to find on tap, however the food is the only concern as the service has always been attentive and beer menu vast. As a patron for at least four years, I’ll continue to stop by for a pint but most likely not for food.

Oh myyyyyyyy. This is a burger joint to die for. There are a ton of different burger choices and toppings. You can get a delicious pretzel bun, brioche, or even lettuce if you’re into it. The fries were delicious, and the fry sauce was perfect. I didn’t try the onion rings but I bet they were just as good.
If you like burgers you’ll like this place. If you don’t like burgers, why are you going to a burger bistro?

Great place to enjoy a beer. Who doesn’t like a great pretzel bun? I will go back. The food was tasty.

Their burgers are good. I’ve had better, but that’s not to take away from theirs, which are very good. 4 stars for their burgers and other food, which is fairly reasonably priced for a similar restaurant in Boulder. But the bonus star for the win is for their beer selection and happy hour prices.

The cycling theme is great and the food and beer is so much greater!! Their Belgian brews are incredible. Pair a beer with their pork belly tacos or any of their outstanding burgers, and you’re in heaven. We’ve returned numerous times and it’s been consistently excellent. It can get busy but the good spots are worth it.

Beer selection is extensive with a great variety of good beers. On the appetizer menu, the sliders and fries are delicious, but wings and deviled eggs not as much so. The environment is nice – not too noisy, which is a big plus for me – and the staff has always been good.

My new favorite hamburger place! I like hamburgers. I don’t go crazy over it but I do like burgers. Consequently, I’ve tried my fair share of burger places in the Denver-Boulder area (and even a few places not really known for their burgers). Perhaps somewhat sadly, I kept coming back to the same old well known burger chain … until I had occasion to try Rueben’s when I was in Boulder for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival! I’ve now tried about a quarter of the burgers on their menu (plus one more-or-less of my own creation) and they’ve all been delicious!
The service is very good too. Christopher Hitchens wrote a scathing essay about the two ways wait-people can ruin a meal (hovering and absenteeism) but the staff at Reuben’s gets it just right.
I understand they have a host of beers on tap but, not being much of a beer drinker, I can’t comment on that. I _have_ tried their milkshakes though and they’re very good if a little on the small side.
Bottom line: If I lived in Boulder I’d eat at Rueben’s all the time. That’s my $0.02 worth.

One of the best burgers in Boulder, and on occasions, great Ruebens, too. From the outside it looks more like a chain than anything else, but it is locally owned, the food standards are very high, the mood is casual and lively, and there are many craft beer choices, including many Belgian beers that are hard to find. You can’t really go wrong here.

Normally I love this place, but this time was something different. There were 5 of us. We showed up at 6:45 and were seated immediately which was great. Once we sat down we were delivered waters; two of the glasses were dirty with floating particles, we sent them back.
Our waiter was friendly but not attentive and he disappeared several times throughout the night. Once we ordered drinks and food, we finished our water and had to ask the hostess to refill it as our waiter could not be found.
Beer took 10 minutes to come out, a vanilla shake took 30 minutes, and our food came out 45 minutes later. For burgers and fries this is ridiculous. Our orders were wrong, the fries and onion rings were cold by the time we got them, and it took way too long.
The burgers were great though! Cooked perfectly and delicious. But once we finished, we sat with empty plates and glasses for another 20 minutes with no sign of our waiter. When he finally got back, we paid our bill but he mixed up the tickets and credit cards. Charged a few of us incorrectly. Simply paying the bill took him 20 minutes.
I’ll be looking for another restaurant next time.
