About The Pie of Port Jeff
Reviews
Margherita pizza: 8/10. Thin crust, sauce was nice, but no fresh basil… which is like forgetting the lime in a margarita.
Buffalo pizza: not even worth the calories. One bite and I was done.
Wings: reheated vibes !I didn’t order leftovers, thanks.
Calamari: soggy, not crispy.
Service: meh, not attentive.
Tried it once, checked the box, but never going back.
The waitress we had was great. She was personable and took care of us in an expedient manner. It was great chatting with her.
A special shoutout to Rachel, our server, who made the entire experience exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating of my girlfriend’s gluten-free diet, offering thoughtful suggestions and making sure every detail was just right. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel both genuinely cared for and well taken care of in a busy restaurant. Rachel absolutely did.
Between the delicious food, the charming atmosphere, and the outstanding service, The Pie of Port Jefferson has become one of my favorite spots on Long Island. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, decadent desserts, and exceptional hospitality!
The service was not only quick but also really pleasant, and the atmosphere was lovely.
I will certainly be coming back again.
Risotto rice balls – good
Mozzarella en Carozza – was NOT mozzarella in carozza, but more like fried fresh mozzarella. Good for what it was.
Bruschetta – very good
Coal fired Supreme Pizza – we ordered it with no olives. First one came out with olives, they redid it and gave the error to the employees, which I thought was nice. Pepperoni was too spicy for me, but I ate it anyway, because the pizza was EXCELLENT. Makes me wish I ordered a different one to bring home.
Gnocchi with bolognese – was okay. Needed salt.
Chicken rollatini – pretty good. Needed salt (most things did all around), but the flavor was there. One piece of chicken slightly burnt, but the other looked good.
Lasagna – my sister said it tasted like there was something wrong with it. They took it off the bill and offered her something else. She opted for chicken francese.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how the chicken francese was, because while we were waiting for it to come out, they started mopping the place with bleach. It’s good to know that they’re taking covid precautions with bleach, but establishments should wait for the customers to leave before they do that.
We asked the waiter to box up the francese because of the smell. If his own volition, he informed the manager what hearkened, and the manager was very nice and comped the francese, even though she didn’t have to.
All in all, I would recommend this place if only for their pizza. Their food was decent, but the pizza shouldn’t be missed.
