We randomly found Louie’s Place Saloon and Grill on our way home and really enjoyed it. The interior is unique, and the back patio has a great vibe (I can only imagine how nice it is in the evening). The service was a bit slow — we waited about an hour for salads and pasta, and one salad wasn’t very fresh — but overall the food was good and prices reasonable (about $60 for two salads, two pastas, and two beers). I’d definitely come back!

Large portion of steak, mashed potatoes and a scrumptious sausage country gravy.

Such a gem of a bar! We visited on our way back from Yosemite and only the ride there was absolutely beautiful.
They have a good local beer selection on tap, on Monday they only had pizzas – which were alright. The bartender was super friendly and the place itself has some amazing old school vibes. Definitely worth visiting

Oh, Louies! They never disappoint! Amazing service and food always! The chicken fried steak! I’m just thinking about it, my mouth water! Go! Just go! Don’t second guess it! The history of the building in itself! They have a full bar now as well! Go get your mimosa with your chicken fried steak!

First time I went there was in 1994. What an experience it was during the rodeo time I was sitting in the middle of the bar and all of a sudden a horse and rider from the rodeo came walking into the bar, turned right around and walked right out. Unbelievable so I had to order another drink. what a place I wonder if they’re still doing it

Good food, atmosphere. Big open back yard area. Still winter when we went so not in use we will be coming back to see what it’s like in the warmer times of the year. Wonderful place to kick back and enjoy some good food and beer.
