Visited 12/19 for dinner. Jennifer was our server. She gave us time to look over the menu and told us the special for the day. We both ordered the sliced brisket sandwich. It had a very good smoke flavor to it with the meat remaining juicy and the perfect doneness. Even though it was sliced it just fell apart when you bit into it. There was also another very nice young lady waiting tables that checked on us throughout our meal. Love the fact that you have Pepsi products.

We will be back but with some friends next time.

Best BBQ in this East Texas area! I have been in the BBQ business since 1979 and started out as a 3 time Grand Champion not bad considering I only cooked in 4 BBQ competitions. I have also judged many BBQ & CHILE cook offs in my days and taught my son about BBQ since he was a kid look up Trey Sanchez with Vaqueros Texas BBQ The point that I’m trying to make is that I know BAR-B-Q and if you haven’t tried the Hickory Smoked Brisket at Walker’s Smokehouse YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON HOW REAL TEXAS HICKORY SMOKED BAR-B-Q IS SUPPOSED TO TASTE!!!!!! Grab your purse or wallet and get your country ass down there for a pleasant food EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!

This place was delicious and clean! The food was excellent.

I had the two meat plate with sliced brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage and fried okra and Cowboy beans as my sides. Both meats were seasoned well and not too dry. The okra was crispy and delicious and not soggy like some BBQ places. The Cowboy beans were the highlight of the meal. A little spicy kick with bacon and bbq mixed in was a big hit!

Everything was clean and well-maintained. No wobbly chairs, no sticky tables, spotless cutlery. 100% would come back. I’ll definitely will stop by next time I’m in town!

I really wanted to love this place but didn’t. The service was great, it’s an adorable place, and the food is not horrible, I just personally did not like it. I had the sausage and it just did not seem like a good quality sausage for a BBQ restaurant. It tasted like a very popular store bought brand that I am not a fan of vs a good farm made, or homemade sausage. Fried okra was good. Potato salad was swimming in sauce so if you’re a fan of a drier potato salad like me, this isn’t it. Coleslaw was good. Brisket was tender. BBQ sauce was good. I think BBQ is a personal taste preference and this just didn’t do it for me personally. Others may love it and I wish this place the best, just offering up my personal review.

Walker’s BBQ stands as a prominent fixture in the world of barbecue, celebrated for its commitment to authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients. Upon entering the establishment, guests are immediately greeted by a warm, rustic ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.

The menu at Walker’s BBQ is a testament to traditional barbecue craftsmanship. The smoked meats, including brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, are prepared with a careful balance of seasoning and slow-cooking techniques, resulting in tender, flavorful dishes that consistently impress. The brisket, in particular, stands out with its rich, smoky flavor and perfectly rendered fat, offering a melt-in-your-mouth experience.

Side dishes at Walker’s BBQ are not to be overlooked. The mac and cheese, with its creamy texture and well-seasoned crust, complements the barbecue offerings beautifully. Similarly, the coleslaw provides a refreshing contrast with its crisp, tangy profile. Each side is crafted with the same attention to detail as the main dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Service at Walker’s BBQ is attentive and friendly, reflecting a deep understanding of both the menu and customer needs. Staff members are knowledgeable about the various offerings and are eager to provide recommendations, ensuring a personalized dining experience.

Overall, Walker’s BBQ delivers an exemplary barbecue experience that combines quality, flavor, and a welcoming atmosphere. It stands out not only for its expertly smoked meats but also for its commitment to customer satisfaction. For barbecue enthusiasts and casual diners alike, Walker’s BBQ is a destination worth visiting.

Took over 50 minutes for our food to get to the table and that’s after waiting at the table after being seated 10 minutes before our waitress greeted us. Seems like the family that owns the establishment is there all the time and mainly taking up space instead of helping their staff, who is extremely under-qualified, and undertrained. Barbecue was average, honestly could’ve had a better serving at a chain barbecue place.

The biggest opportunity to improve here is on the ownership.
