We ordered dinner from Circo Circo Mexican Restaurant last night. OMG! As usual, they did not disappoint! So freakin good! Pic is Polo Mexicano. One of my favs! Everything they make is so good! ❤️

I was driving around looking for something other than my normal spot for lunch. Came across this place. When I walked in, there was only one at a customer in the whole place in during the lunch hour on a Friday. I took that as a bad sign. But I had already spent so much time looking for a place to eat and was getting slightly irritable because I needed to eat.
I’m so glad I stayed. I’m a big fan of enchilada bills double beans and no rice. Oh my gosh, this was the best enchilada plate I’ve ever had.. The beans were creamy and easy and delicious. The enchiladas were incredibly Cheesy, but that’s what I ordered. The sauce was incredible. Not just some canned sauce just disguised with garnish. I’ll definitely be back. I’ll definitely Save this place in my favorites. And the regular price of the meal was cheaper than the Lunch specials at the other restaurant I go to. If you’re looking for a full restaurant bustling with customers and Mexican music blasting like a typical restaurant, this is not gonna be for you if you just wanna sit down and have a peaceful and absolutely delicious meal then this is the one. I had an absolutely ridiculously huge ones for $15. Which means I also had dinner with it and maybe breakfast later on this morning.

When we walked in it was a lil jarring because of what we expect..well..anticipate seeing in Mexican Restaurants is festive, jovial authentic atmospheres that invite one in and get you in the spirit to enjoy the flavors, atmosphere and authenticity of Mexican Restaurants.
It was like we walked into a transitioned shoe store with elevator music. I admit I don’t recall but I don’t even think it was Mexican Musica..?
I read some pretty good reviews and some not good
(I tend to only skim for key ‘Red Flag’ words in bad reviews when looking to eat)
The concensus was the food is good, reasonably priced and plentiful. So we stayed.
I had the Taco&Enchilada combo Shred Beef taco and Just cheese in the enchilada. The lady I met for the first time had a Taco Salad or some sort of Mexican salad lol
The chips were good but the salsa was..o k? It’s definitely not restaurant salsa more of a try at fresh Pico salsa however it has a mediocre taste rather than Fresca. My sprite was perfect. Nice and carbonated even balance of syrup. Why do I describe the soda?..well getting barely flavored carbonated water is really off-putting and the replacement not any better puts the whole experience ur looking for in the toilet and this does happen. THAT SAID it was great.
I read in a review the salsa Verde was amazing and while I didn’t have any my lady friend went thru 2 refills so I think there may be something to that. She ate almost all of the salad so I wld say that mustve been good as well. Usually I wld have had a bite but I wasn’t gonna ask for a bite on a dinner with someone I just meet lol
My entree looked good. The first thing I always taste is the beans. If the beans are not good it usually tells the story of how the rest is gonna go. The beans and melted cheese with enchilda + sce was very good.
The taco on the other hand was a disaster.
It’s an American taco bell style taco shell. After beans this is another litmus test; the taco shell not being a freshly fried tortilla or handmade something is dissapointing. Then I took a bite of a bland, not shredded, clumpy & dry beef taco. It was the only bite I took. It was irreconcilable with what I just dove into on the main part of the entree.
We passed on desert.
The prices were indeed very reasonable. The service wS good with well timed check backs.
I would eat there again but wouldn’t seek it out. The entirety of the taco was really a head-scratcher. They really need to ditch the shell and put some effort into it and calling that ‘shredded beef’ is incorrect. It was clumps of bland roast beef.
I don’t understand it as it wld seem to me as the easiest part of the entree to nail.

It’s wasn’t busy so we got sat down right away and food came out shortly. Service was ok, not the best, not the worst. As for the food, disappointed. They literally use the same meat throughout the dishes. Different toppings but same meat. The shredded beef is marinated in a red salsa which of you get anything with green salsa it just ruins the meal. If anything, stick to the chicken. It was the best tasting of the selection. Glad we could try the place, but not worth the visit.

We stopped here for a late lunch. The food was pretty good,but the service was poor. We sat down and were provided chips and salsa, we ordered a side of guacamole for the chips and that came our quickly, however we ran out of chips before the guac was gone and were never offered more chips, also after I ordered a fountain drink it took me asking there times for refill. Finally, while we ordered two meals, we were never provided any silverware other than a single fork for two people…. Food was good, service not so much.

The meal portion is large but the taste is just okay for me. I had the Chile Verde. It didn’t wow me like a couple of other restaurants I had tried before. My husband had the Fajitas and it wasn’t sizzling like he tried others also. My son had the Chipotle chicken. He thinks it’s alright.

I am never going to leave hungry from Circo Circo! A huge delicious vegetarian Burrito with rice and beans followed a basket of crispy chips and two kinds of homemade salsa was my lunch today, and I’m leaving with leftovers! The Staff is kind and attentive, and the Margaritas are yummy!
