This place is walking distance from my parents house. Plenty of parking, great atmosphere and service with a solid menu. We always end up being a fairly large group when we come here and the majority of us are very satisfied with our food but usually there’s one dish or order that seems off the mark. The chowder and fish & chips are solid 5 star choices at a good price and good portions. So much so that I don’t think we’ve ever ordered dessert. Outdoor and indoor seating options available (weather dependant).

We had a wonderful supper experience and a big part of that was our waitress, Destiny. She has such a lovely personality and an extremely pleasant presence. From the moment we walked in she was very welcoming, warm, and had a great sense of humor that made us feel comfortable right away. Her attitude and energy genuinely made the evening more enjoyable and added a lot to our overall experience.
As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. The prawn tacos were excellent and full of flavor. We also really enjoyed the chowder, which was comforting and well balanced. The house salad was another highlight, light and tangy in a really refreshing way.
The halibut fish and chips was very good as well, perfectly cooked and satisfying. The coleslaw that came with it was especially nice, light, fresh, and very tasty.
Overall it was a great meal with great service, and Destiny truly made the experience memorable for us. We will definitely be back.

Celiac approved! Clean, delicious and affordable. Best batter on the South Island. Easy peasy parking, cozy fireplace, and we look forward to enjoying the patio on a sunnier day. We had the halibut and brisket tacos. Definitely coming back for more menu options. Gf beer available too.

Checked this place out after reading some reviews, food was very good. Service was fantastic, very attentive and quick, our server came back to check on our experience a couple of times to make sure all was good also offering to keep drinks filled (water). I had the 2 piece Cod fish and chips, the cod was very good with a thin crispy batter chips were also very good. My wife had the Salmon bowl and she enjoyed very much. My only complaint is that the fish was a small serving for the price. The restaurant was busy but the service was great and we did not feel rushed.

Wow, we went on a limb with choosing this restaurant. But let’s just say you will not be disappointed. We ordered Cod and chips and a starter of calamari, It’s definitely our favorite.
The waitress was very pleasant and checked on us several times. I also watched how clean she keeps the bar.

Loved this place! Everything is gluten free and that had a bunch of options as well that were dairy free! I was able to enjoy calamari and fish and chips and it’s been forever since I could do that! My boyfriend, who can eat everything, was also very pleased with the calamari, chowder and tacos! He had no idea it was gluten free. Will definitely return! Service was awesome too server was GREAT!

1st timers to this establishment. We came in at the last minutes of brunch and we’re still offered brunch menus if we chose, which we glady did. We tried the Washington Benny and the pulled pork waffles with spicy syrup….. WOW. So yummy! We so appreciate the great service AND a celiac safe place to eat . I don’t think most people realize the mental load of trying to eat safely. This restaurant has taken away the worry! Thank you so much!
