Went to Izu-Sushi on a weekday evening and got seated right away since it wasn’t busy. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a nice atmosphere. They have a great selection of sushi and drinks, and everything we tried was fresh and tasty. The sushi was solid, but the fried rice was the standout. Service was great and our waiter was very attentive (though we were the only ones there). Prices are about average for the area. Overall, a great spot for sushi in Denver and worth checking out.

We ordered delivery via Uber eats. We paid $50 for what was supposed to be three rolls and a hand sushi. And they barely gave you anything. All the food fit loosely in two of the single serve sushi boxes like you get with sushi from the super market. Very disappointed. The flavors were very mid in my opinion. I would have rather sled bought sushi from a supermarket than here. I would find another sushi spot in my opinion.

This is the best hidden gem for sushi in Denver. I come in here as much as I can and show my friends this place every time we talk about having sushi. The server William is the absolute man, is super friendly and always provides 5 star service. Izu will always be my favorite!

I can’t believe I found this place two months before I moving out of the area!! I absolutely love the staff here and the sushi, chef, and the designs of the sushi! They really take pride in making sushi and creating the sushi platters! The first time we went, was on New Year’s Day, and they gave us a discount for being the first customers of the year. They always remember me are always so kind and this is a very special place in my book..

A quaint restaurant but with big flavors. They’ve got an open sushi bar and seating in the dinning area. The sushi here is really great. I’ve gotten 4 roles from here and each of them have been so delicious, no disappointments. Sake bombs and cocktails are always a must. You’ve got to park on the street if you are dinning in but parking and walking is well worth it.

i deliver food on the side as a student and had an absolutely disgraceful experience picking up an order from this establishment. i verified the order on my phone while a female employee with glasses WATCHED me then completed the order and walked off. i had my headphones on and was walking down the sidewalk to my car and was halfway there when i heard someone yelling at me to stop, and it was her. wanting to see if i had actually completed the verification process which i had and showed her yet AGAIN. she then proceeded to just say “oh ok” ☠️ and turn around. no apologies. no my bad. nothing. with cars all around being able to see her chasing after me like i already was some sort of confirmed thief.

not all delivery drivers steal food from a restaurant, and ya’ll need to remember that with your behavior since we’re not just servicing uber but your restaurant as well with getting your orders from one place to another. and based on this absolutely shameful experience with treatment as a delivery driver, i can only imagine how your actual customers are treated. i will not be back as a delivery driver from
here and most especially not as a paying customer and i darn sure won’t be recommending this place to any friends.

Hello!!

We ordered sushi from you through the Uber Eats app. There are no complaints whatsoever, everything is excellent and on time for delivery.

But you guys do disgusting service!
-you didn’t put a chopstick or a napkin in the bag
-the rolls look horrible
-I found a plastic in the sushi (see photo)

Recommendation:
recommend that the owner hire qualified staff and in general I recommend that you go to Japan and learn how sushi should look like

Ambiance I think the same like plastic in our food

We came back to Denver from Dallas to have this sushi again! And it was even better than we remembered. The black pepper tuna is amazing in every roll. My favorite is the Jazz roll. We order so much food and the server was supper sweet and accommodating. Definitely plan on coming back again next new year.

Ordered delivery from uber eats, the fish was clearly bad. Coloring was off and the texture was chewy. I tried a piece and it made me so sick.

Update: this sushi has made me very sick. I’ve been vomiting and feel awful.

I ordered delivery through UberEats three rolls and crab rangoons.

Crab rangoons – They were completely inedible. They were beyond over fried to the point that the two that had any filling was just black burnt bits with a tiny bit of white left. Most had the filling, if there was any to start with, had been cooked out. The wontons had turned dark brown instead of the golden brown you would expect and opened up. I tried a piece of one that had a tiny bit of the filling left it tasted like dirty oil with a hint of burning. I used to work as a line cook (also went to culinary school) and I can’t believe these made it out of the kitchen. Seriously one of the worst things I have ever been served at a restaurant. I just can’t believe someone looked at them and went clearly burnt, falling apart, filling completely gone or burnt to crust yeah let’s send those out.

California roll – Was okay, nothing special but nothing wrong. Other then the crab Rangoon’s had been packed right on top of them so they were warm. But that’s a risk you take with delivery.

Spider roll – I’m not sure what they fried to put inside the roll as only one piece had anything in it that could be recognized as crab. The fried soft shell was all burnt batter that like the crab Rangoon’s tasted like dirty oil. I pulled the “soft shell crab” out a middle piece of the roll and took a photo to show what I am talking about.

Hawaii Dragon Roll – Very good no issues.
