Excellent customer service and very nice atmosphere! Highly recommend ! I will be back again !
Gluten free pizza was exceptionally delicious!
I understand why reservations for dinner are recommended. Tiny jewel of a place.
We came for lunch after a doctor’s appointment, recommended by the staff.
Need to add: we took home half a pizza each, warmed it up and it was nearly as delicious as when first served!!!
Spaghetti and meatballs –
Positives: the pasta was cooked. We ordered sausage as an extra and that tasted fine.
Negatives: the meatballs tasted like straight from the container to the skillet with zero spices of any kind. I am not exaggerating when I say there was NO. Flavor.
Bread accompaniment-
Positives: it was cooked.
Negatives: how do you have bland bread? Bread by itself is relatively mild in flavor but this tasted like they substituted salt and spices for hopes and dreams.
Green beans –
Positives: it was cooked, seasoned lightly, not soggy or overcooked.
Negatives: none.
Salad –
I didn’t have it but my partner said it was pretty good.
Tiramisu –
Positives: it was a large serving
Negatives: it tasted like the main flavors were cinnamon and water. The dessert was soggy, nearly flavorless, and disgusting. I barely finished my only bite.
I’ll return to Pulcinella for the friendly, professional service, comfortable seating, fresh atmosphere, and enviable menu offerings.

We could not stay away so we returned yesterday, even though we had Italian food the day before. Our server, AJ, was superb. Our soups and entrees were nice and piping hot. The flavors were incredible. So far, you can taste every dish’s unique flavors. The kitchen here does not mess around. AND, the tiramisu was to die for. I was speechless. We will be back soon.

A breath of fresh air. Nothing has changed in McLean in the last 40 year but it looks like things are headed towards a new direction. Pulcinella has given me a reason to come back to McLean. From what I understand, the current new location is smaller than its original location but the food is fantastic. My appetizers of clam chowder soup and mussels in marinara sauce were served piping hot and succulent. The salsiccia pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, beef sausage, beef pepperoni) was delicious. The pizza dough was perfectly executed, a nice golden brown. In all my years of dining on Italian cuisine I have never had the linguini agnello, marinated lamb in balsamic, pesto, and light tomato sauce. It was unbelievable. The flavors were absolutely amazing! The chef and his team are top notch. Upon entering the restaurant, the young man and young lady were very welcoming and attentive. We look forward to returning.
